so it appears the main split between Rafa and the club can be boiled down to Rafa wanting more control on the incomings while the club appears to want to go for a DOF model (obviously theres probably more but I'd bet this was the main sticking point). Not sure if one model is really better than the other but the main problem with the DOF model for nufc is most other clubs that implement it have a coherent football philosophy in mind they're trying to build over time regardless of who the head coach is while the only philosophy NUFC have is buying players they can sell on for big profits.
  2. Thought he was a old fashioned back 4 guy. definitely used 352 at Hull
  3. yeah pretty much for the simple reason I honestly don't think he gives half a shit about PR
  4. I'd be shocked if there was any points deduction, the PL wouldn't even hand out a points deduction to West Ham over the Tevez and Mascherano transfers. Also genuinely curious why they reported it to the PL instead of the FA?
  5. Just because you know none of his clients, doesn't mean he's shite at PR. It could be quite the opposite. A lot of PR work is focussed on keeping people away from public scrutiny. I would suspect that to be the very kind of PR that CUNT requires. You could say he's doing a shite job of that, but you just have to imagine what it would be like if he had no PR rep. I'm not for one minute saying that he has anything to do with the supposed BZG takeover, but he could easily be involved in the gossip connected to it.. Who was Caulkin's source on the deal that wouldn't happen if he spoke of it? its very simple either Bishop is incompetent due to the pr "advice" he's giving to Ashley/NUFC is bloody terrible (and both have awful pr) or he's incompetent because he can't get the guy paying him to follow his advice. And while I'm no expert on journalism or sources what I do know is Caulkin is no fool and would do his research on whatever he's told and not blindly believe the first thing someone tells him.
  6. China will beg to differ. honestly don't think he'd go there and Madrid will be stuck with him unless man utd get stupid before the window closes
  7. dunno, very hard to make any kind of prediciton on chelsea but personally I'd lean towards a mid-table finish for them, losing a player of the quality of Hazard has to have some impact
  8. the Keith Bishop is some media manipulating mastermind able to control the press not only in the UK but across the world thing this forum has is really irritating me lately. Its giving him way more credit than he will ever deserve when in reality he's not very good at his pr job given how shit nufc and ashley are at pr

really depends on the add-ons and how they're triggered though its probably at least £35m up front or in installments
  10. I get that point but my opinion is while I consider it unlikely he'd sell in the short to medium term while in the prem I consider the chances of him selling outside the prem to be basically zero. By what logic is that ? Imo he will only sell when Nufc becomes a constant loss maker for him . Give it a couple of successive relegations with low crowds and fuck all tv money and he'll sharp piss off . Stay in the prem and hes here forever a few reasons one being pride he will not want to admit defeat and sell at a loss. The other is there's not exactly been much interest from buyers for the club while its in the prem and making money, what are the chances of buyers coming along if its losing lots of money stuck in the championship or lower?

well if one of the clauses is win a trophy then Hoffenheim are morons
  13. if anything rafa could be described as (being nice) naive to think he could change how ashley operated.
  14. problem is the pattern with many takeovers is the ones that actually go through just happen out of the blue no ones heard anything until its done. Every "takeover bid" we've had has been very public BZG being the worst for this since they were the only ones saying anything and call me cynical but the only reason to shout yes we are trying to buy a premier league club is cheap PR since if you are actually serious about doing it keep quiet until everythings sorted and then you have all the time in the world to get attention.

can't even translate what €40m is actually worth in the current transfer market
  16. you know I don't get this line of thinking from Sheffield Wednesday, sure there's pride and wanting to get full amount etc etc but this impasse isn't any good for them either. Personally I'd be saying fuck it if they want him for £3m take him, get on with finding a replacement and trying to get promoted and forget completely about Bruce
  17. They’re not just ultras - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-48987723 wait its an air to air missile? bit useless for them
  18. how the hell do ultras get their hands on a fucking missile?
  19. disliking a player because he's a mercenary doesn't leave many players to like in the premier league since the vast majority are just mercenaries
  20. Dunk is alright but £45m really? They couldn't find a better CB cheaper than that?
  21. no manager thinks like that though, at worst they think ok they may not like me now but I'll win them over because if you want to stay a manager you need absolute confidence in yourself
  22. plenty of blame to go around on that front, Perez at real madrid and his "galacticos" chelsea and man city obviously but I think the real deal breaker in stupidity was psg with neymar
  23. Since when did quoting bookie odds become journalism? since print media started to die and be replaced with sites filled with ads with the occasional bit of text followed by more ads.
  24. anyone with a bit of pace/any random trick can look good vs league of ireland defenders(and I say this as a season ticket holder to one of the teams)
  25. sad thing is it still wouldn't be the worst appointment by Ashley since at least Bruce is an active manager who's managed in the prem in recent memory compared to Kinnear or hell Pardew. Hope for his own sake he turns it down, he has a decent job already at Wednesday does he really need the shit involved at NUFC?
