well we are only 2 points off 6th......
-
read somewhere he can't take over long term without special dispensation as he doesn't have a pro licence
-
maybe waiting til after liverpool hammer them midweek, don't want to dampen the good vibes of getting rid of him with liverpool trashing you after all
-
can't remember now but what did Neville say at the end of Jose's time there?
-
not sure on the project thing but the main reason I'd doubt it is it would probably cost a lot of money to get him out of there
-
yes but he scored a superb goal which is enough to keep him off the list imho
-
bit odd to give him a new contract so soon considering he was already on a 4 year deal

How are seedings calculated? Seedings are based on overall European Qualifiers rankings, which are determined as follows (results against teams in sixth place are discarded): a) final position in group b) points c) goal difference d) goals scored e) away goals scored f) number of wins g) number of away wins h) lower disciplinary points total (3 points for red card including for second booking, 1 point for single yellow card for a player in a match) i) position in overall UEFA Nations League rankings --- Fairly straightforward, unless France should be first seed based solely on being a historically bigger footballing nation. any seeding system that has the world cup champions and previous euros runner ups who topped their qualifying group below ukraine who lost all their matchs at euro 2016 and failed to qualify for the world cup is clearly flawed and needs an overhaul. This isn't about who's a bigger country its about france's recent record being excellent and somehow still being in pot 2 below a very mediocre team
-
a higher seed than the fucking world champions though?!
-
maybe for the moment but (probably) losing eriksen and alderweireld for nothing next summer leaves some big holes in the squad

while I partly agree on paper there is several caveats, no 1 being mourinhio who likes to spend money and daniel levy who does not like to spend money is a pr disaster waiting to happen, no 2 poch turned spurs from occasionally a champions league team into a consistent top 4 side and got them to the CL final last year all while not having the resources in transfer fees and wages that everyone around spurs have which is unlikely to change with the stadium to pay for and levy being fairly tight in general
-
ok if your going to sack him now (which considering he got them to the champions league final and has generally been the best thing to happen to spurs in 40 odd years is a bit harsh) why not do it last week instead of after the internationals are already basically done? And to potentially replace him with Mourinhio? Mourinhio could almost certainly still do a job at a top level club but his style of football etc is rather at the other end of the scale to Poch's so thats not brilliant either. Well on the bright side the explosion from Mourinhio over Levy's dawdling and penny pinching in the transfer market should be amusing
-
well with what they're (probably) paying the other big name journalists on there they had to make cuts somewhere. Just be glad its someone who can pretend to write instead of lee ryder
-
honestly not sure about xhaka, but he's better atm than what we have and clearly he has something about him leadership wise in the dressing room to be captain of a reasonably good swiss team and iirc was elected captain by the arsenal squad.
-
you can have personality without being a jackass which is what Zlatan always has been
-
so basically pardew, curbhishley etc just being brought into interviews to tick a box? because each club will probably already know who they're going to appoint and its probably not going to be the obligatory english guy
-
wouldn't surprise me if he was sacked in the international window
-
Thought he'd get himself a slightly better job dunno stoke should have a bit of money by championship standards, though you'd think they could wait until after the 2 games for Northern Ireland in the next few weeks
-
it seems to be used to defend every decision on the field (mostly anyway) and the refs were always right and we must trust VAR as its fool proof except for the fools operating it
-
Seems like everyone is waiting for Real to write Bale a big cheque and tell him to fuck off. Or a Chinese club gets him. weird thing is a chinese club were going to sign him until Perez decided he wanted a big cash sum too to get rid of him. Maybe Perez is just delusional as to his value atm and still thinks he's the bale he signed
-
jesus christ has klopp made a deal with the devil or something they keep getting away with it
-
what the hells happened to west ham they seem to have gone to pieces lately
-
the bit that really bothers me is this line from the statement: "As we have said from the outset, the club will not tolerate any of its players or staff behaving in a manner which puts themselves, their colleagues, and members of the general public at risk of injury or worse, or which brings the club into disrepute" how they could say that while the two guys actually convicted of a crime still play for them every week is ridiculous
