id say once we have promotion wrapped up the younger lads like vuckic will get game time for experience probably more so if we have the title wrapped up too

It's certainly better than parachuting in a totally unproven manager like Zola, Keane, or even Shearer. He was a totally unproven manager, and still is in many ways. in some ways yes but he has had a season of learning to handle being the manager rather than attempting to learn on the job in the prem ala zola (keane not really unproven just proven to not be very good) or shearer in 8 games which will stand him in good stead next season rather than his former role of firefighting in bad situations as he had to do in caretaker stints

I always wondered how things would pan out if Lerner's spending didn't ultimatgely lead to CL football. While Villa are doing ok, they don't look like getting there just yet and it's a hell of a lot of money to sink in without being in the premier UEFA competition. Are they headed for a similar period we went through in Shepherd's time? the question to ask is the money he put in like abramovichs cash turned into equitity or into a loan to the club Lerner spent about £65 million buying the club and since then has stuck about £180 million in. And that has been roughly 50% equity and 50% loan - he's been paid interest on his loan. so not even an interest free gift loan curious

What 'affair' is she talking about, the Carroll thing? If we replaced Hughton with Hughes or McLaren without giving him a chance, it would be a big mistake IMO. yup the carroll thing
-
lot of clubs would want him

Apart from the Owen summer, when have we ever spent that sort of cash? (£25m in one go never mine £40m) keegan days on a comparative level for the time though not the same size as that

having looked on that forum the amount of threads on us is worrying for their mentality, after all we're a division lower and they are still obsessing over us

supposedly over cost cuts, considering villa are using 84% of income on wages its not beyond the realms of doubt lerner wants to cut the squad a bit

fyp. Talksport are a f***ing joke. How are they still allowed to broadcast? They're like the Daily Sport of radio What did Talksport say? I agree they are a joke. Last week they were linking Steve McClaren with the newcastle job in the summer. so was that bloody woman in the observer on sunday

if reading continue their good form and make it to play offs then i'd have them down as bankers in the play offs because of momentum. Out of the current lot Forest i don't give much hope to, they're on a downward spiral and its hard to see them picking up form enough to get decent momentum in the play offs. Swansea don't score enough despite their good defence and so i don't fancy them Cardiff are too all over the place form wise to safely bet on in play offs but their iffy defence will count against them imo finally my current tip Leicester, i think are solid enough to do it plus it would be nice to see nobby get a premier league swansong to finish up

do the glazers sell those green and gold scarfs in the club shop out of curiosity?
-
Leeds wont be battling owt but relegation if they go up. Norwich will be up as well. If Leicester City don't go up, they'll be in there as well. Pearson has done quite a job with them. i fancy leicester in the playoffs for some reason
