Get him gone man. You just know the crowd will cheer us on to beat Spurs and he’ll Lord it all over us and his media buddies will be shouting “See! See! Give him a chance!!!! He’s a Na amazing manager. Give him £500m to spend and he’ll have you mid table. Great bloke!”

Such a good shout for the sake of a couple of weeks

Grew up by the coast though. Loves the Spanish City man! -
Highest average attendance in a season is 56k in Division 2 from 1948. I couldn't see us selling out regularly over 60-65,000. Totally depends on how we are doing though I suppose. Safe standing is 1:1 at the moment. Surely this will be phased out after it's a success. Perhaps 2:1 in future? Let's not forget that possibility.

With Rich here mind. And there's very little out west in regards to pubs, infrastructure etc. I still think 60k capacity is all we'd need, and if the Gallowgate followed the Milburn and Leazes, I'm sure a lot of the noise would stay in?

Out of interest when did it start being used as 'our song' at SJP? Film was 1983 - so not long after that I assume? -

Agreed. I hope they can all get season tickets again! -
Even with a title challenging Newcastle, I don't think we'd need more than 60,000. If you're getting into the realm of 65,000+, I think you'll see a lot of empty seats for less important games. Surely we want people fighting to get in, but enough chance for people to get in. I'd be overjoyed if they keep SJP where it is, but extend over the Gallowgate. I'm sure they can make it happen, and it will cost a hell of a lot less than relocating.

A lot of the bigger name managers won’t want this job. They want to join an established club already competing. I think we all need to lower our expectations. I’d genuinely be happy with Potter. And I think he’d care, and want to build a project. Which surely is the most important thing here.

Definitely a lot more of his name being mentioned in the last day or so. Fingers crossed

Would love a bit of E I E I E I O. Kevin Keegan left the toon in a helicopter? We are the Geordies, the cock of the north? (Haven't heard that sung in a long time) Blaydon Races sung slow and the correct first verse would be lovely as well. Doubt it'll ever happen mind. One for @Heron to sort out in future

Imagine Rocker sending in absolute filth and Yorkie reading/showing them out as if it's Blue Peter Oh my days, I have to see that.

So many guys on here have been the ‘foot soldiers’ for various boycotts, SP and AO. As well as some excellent content elsewhere. I feel TF have a bit of a monopoly on everything at the moment, and Steve Wraith’s group don’t offer much either. The club should be for everyone and I’m convinced a podcast/website/YouTube channel would be a tremendous success.

This guy is fantastic on twitter. Very very funny. If you're at a loose end you should watch his dad videos "Hello Marcus, it's your father..." - they've been going for around a year and there's effectively a storyline built around the dad now. I think he's also a Newcastle fan, which is a bonus.

A shame Heron left when he did in hindsight

That was the plan in 2006ish I think under Shepherd. But now the land behind the ground has been sold…nobody is sure if it’s feasible. Unless of course we buy the land back at an inflated price?

Ashley’s son in law owns it doesn’t he? Guess who wins again

Amazing gif

Eurgh this still hurts. Hopefully we get to see him back at the ground on Sunday. As a side note, I always felt that when Chris Mort left, that’s when things really started to go to shit.

I see on my LinkedIn that my (and @OCK) old boss Neil Winskill has just updated his job role to ‘promoted to Head of Coach Development’ at NUFC. interesting…
