Not everybody needs to spend the whole game chasing the opposition down in a Simeone team. Diego was a lazyarse, played pretty much where Mata would, and figured heavily in his plans last season.
Die in a fire, you old c***.
So, in order to defend the current setup, he gives a personal example that actually doesn't support the current setup (he had full control of that transfer and it went well), but makes him look good.
It's pretty much a given that Real Madrid's next manager will be Zinedine Zidane; Florentino Pérez loves him and he's been groomed for the role. They won't sack Ancelotti now, though.
Red Bulls or New Manchester City? I mean, you gotta pick one right?
I'm not happy about it at all.
Even the Cosmos got fucking Raúl playing for them. New York is a harsh mistress to me.
Dunno if it's been posted before (a lot of the older images in the thread are already gone), but I always loved that photo of Robson under a heavy rain in Barcelona:

Any sensible board isn't going to openly undermine its own manager by saying he's getting the pink slip in a few months. They have to at least feign that he has a chance of getting the job if he does well enough.
Yeah, Piatti had a great game against Real Sociedad. He used to be one of my favorite La Liga players but his career crashed and burned after moving to Valencia. He seems to be having a breakout year, finally.
Modric is a huge loss indeed, I also blame Ancelotti running his first XI to the ground. But yeah, Modric and later James coming back should be a shot in the arm for them; Isco has been terrible since he's been their main playmaker, and Kroos looks tired.
"In relation to Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa , the board reiterated its view from the previous Forum meeting: the deal was in the best interests of both parties and the player has proven to be better suited to good coaching."
Fixed.
