The Spanish FA has forwarded plans to reshape the Copa del Rey and making it more like the FA Cup. All ties single-game in the stadium of the lowest-ranked one, except the semifinals which will be played in the current format. This is great news, and although top teams will enter the third round, it should enable more upsets. We are pretty unreliable this season so not sure we can go all the way - we could if we got some consistency though.
