Viduka's SPL career was rather short though, and Sutton's glory days at Blackburn came before his SPL stint. True but if you're a half decent player you're only going to go there as a stepping stone/winding down. Invariably of recent anyone who has spent a number of seasons there is because they aren't good enough to play elsewhere. That's what I mean, Miller is 31 and he has never shown before that he can play at a higher level. He already tried it at Wolves and failed.

"Tranquilo" means calm in Spanish, probably the same in Italian. Never been too much impressed the (admittedly few) times I have seen him play.

It's a loan, there's just no risk in it unless he finally breaks down and goes on a rampage taking out half your squad while blaming the pink bunnies that speak to him.

Coyle tried to get him on loan in the summer, got knocked back ofc. Would imagine there's no chance seeing as he's had more exposure to first-team football than before. We just don't do developmental loans. If a player shows promise he's kept inhouse, if we are loaning somebody out it means we've given up on him and we are putting him in the shopping window. Our B team provides first team football at an acceptable level so there's no need to loan people out to teams that probably won't play with the system we have.

He signed the contract back in the summer though, but there was a clause that we had to promote him to our first squad in order for it to take effect, which we just did.
