It costs a fortune to get the rights to print them. How much of a fortune? Can't remember exactly, but I'm sure the price came close to at least £500 when we looked into it. Stupid amount of money just to be able to list who you're playing over the next few weeks. Aye, that's a mental amount for a fan site. Last season he was s***, but he just didn't want to be there, went AWOL for a bit and all. Haven't really paid attention to this one yet. They should have sold him for the alleged 8m offered when they got relegated, but their (former) owner is just nuts.

Gambled too much on promotion, keeping a lot of players on high wages. Plus the board situation and mismanagement hasn't helped one bit.

Never forget the value of extra motivation though, particularly if you have your home crowd pushing you. That always helps a poorer team bridge the gap, imho.

Yes, there are other stuff, but there's no most basic and immediate demonstration of excellence in this sport than producing trophies. It just says that you were top dog that year, simple as that. Not Chelsea, not ManU, not Arsenal, Newcastle United won it.

Trophies rule. Being able to say that you're better than any other fucker than entered the competition is the whole point of this "sport" thing.
