Newcastle United vs Manchester United - 02/01/2019 @ 20:00 - Sky Sports
Foluwashola replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
Fully behind you Amir. You're going to watch us get pumped rotten in the cold but at least you'll get the warm fuzzy feeling of watching the match with genuine football fans, free from the incessant droning of the modern internet neckbeard supporter. Embrace it. Love it. -
If half the people whinging about the home atmosphere made any effort to improve it themselvesp it wouldn't be anywhere near as tragic as it is. Probably about 5% we're booing at the end, and each and every one of the nonces shouldn't be allowed within a mile of SJP again. To use it as an excuse for an utterly putrid, limp display like that us nonsensical. An atmosphere can't really be demanded when that sort of drivel is offered up.
-
Was expecting a horror tackle having seen some comments. Absolutely nowt in it, bog standard yellow card. Carry on.
-
Very difficult not to bite at that patronising nonsense. Even if you were right, and there was next to nowt wrong with Lascelles' comments, people are sensitive because they feel they're having their club taken from them. Even if you don't. Perhaps not expressed particularly well but demonstrably true. Haven't heard a single person criticise any supposedly upsetting comments in real life, it seems to be purely restricted to the overly sensitive internet world in which every comment made by anyone associated with NUFC is analysed to a level in keeping with a Shakespeare thesis. There's only one man to hate
-
I mean, Lascelles crime is a misguided comment on a radio programme that offended only the extremely sensitive amongst our support, Beardsley is accused of a campaign of bullying. Not overly comparable. To take the other examples, Moncur is a daft old bloke now but gets a pass as a European cup winning captain. Bellamy is a little Welsh charver. Who in their right mind would defend him?
-
I'm sure there'll be a reasonable explanation, but if there isn't it's a bit of a slap in the face for those excusing his lauding of Ashley because he does this sort of work in the community. I'm sure most, myself included, would be willing to accept he's a bell end for sacking off agreed events without a valid reason like His track record indicates it's probably not the case. Certainly not frothing at the gash for him to solidify his position as the new nufc bogeyman. Just frothing at the gash to defend anything and everything NUFC-related then. Quite right, as it should be (with the obvious fat cunt of an exception).

Doylums can't decide who their chief scapegoat is. Soft Spanish mince Perez, or Ashley rimmer Lascelles. Poor today was Jamaal, but there weren't many good ones amongst the 28. Much bigger issue is bringing the likes of Joselu & Manquillo. Truly dire players.
-
The constant reminders of the pathetic level they've fallen to are class. Might go along purely for the BANTZ, although Stoke fans did this and saw their bairns get battered. Probably best ignoring it.
-
It's a valid point, not much difference at all between what the two said but, for whatever reason, Lascelles is held to very different standards. Rafa could wipe his arse with pages Bobby Robson's autobiography and nobody would bat an eyelid, myself included. Can put it down to 'nuance' or whatever, but in reality it is because you like one more than the other.

Got to live through a decade of watching our greatest ever player, and one of our own. We've got 6 of those FA Cup pots already man, not a contest.
-
Handballed about 4 times. Will never tire of seeing Villa hearts break.
-
Looks very decent. Newcastle fan anarl, grew up with his dad Alan in Low Fell.
-
Yep. Also prevents Ashley from blaming fan negativity should a takeover not materialise. People responding to TMG with vitriol doesn't bode well for the future, mind. Correct. It was going to be a pathetic attempt at a boycott, calling off is the best approach. Need to strike while the iron is hot with these things and in the end it all petered out. If another disaster of a window goes by, which it will, form drops and Ashley remains, the appetite will be there again in February.
-
Have sent from being staunchly in favour of the boycott to sacking it off. TMG despite their efforts haven't been able to sort out a united front, not that it's solely down to them to achieve that. In hindsight arranging a single game protest a month in advance was never going to work. Not missing a 2nd game in a week when nee fucker can be arsed. Better methods of protest required.

Official: Daryl Janmaat joins Watford for £7m
Foluwashola replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
Aye. It absolutely is a cliche like. All emotions get amplified given that there's 50k there and not the handful you get through the gates at tinpot clubs like Watford. Lost our first 5 home games this year and can't recall any owa top whinging, although that's not to say its never happened before. That amplified pressure clearly gets to some utterly heartless drips. Jenas & Janmaat some prime examples. -
Wasn't based on any specific case, but the generic abuse flying around Twitter and forums. Whatever terminology has been used, ya can't deny there's been abuse, even phrases like 'scabbing it' aren't really helpful when you're talking about people who have been turning up for decades, through the good times and the bad. Spaceman - that's where there is a complete lack of appreciation, from the worst of the internet fewm mongers, that there's a huge diversity of ticket holders. Take the East Stand, the average age is probably 50 plus, with the majority unlikely to be paying any attention to this crack at all. SCABS. Doesn't mean they care about the fortunes of the club any less than your militant anti Ashley protestor standing outside reading bizarre poetry. Tbf to TMG they seemed to realise this and planned multiple methods of protest, hopefully all good work hasn't been hoyed out the window.
-
My seat will also be empty. For this and the West Ham match. I'll be honest, following TMG's antics at the weekend part of me wishes I hadn't committed to boycotting, seems like the decision makers may well be heedthaballs. As far as the discussion goes around action & boycotts generally, there's still far too much mud slinging and in-fighting, hence why the outcome tends to be largely pathetic. Have a lot of sympathy with the 'I won't be told what to do' brigade tbh. Not particularly endearing to be told you're scum for carrying on a tradition you've had for the majority of your life, i.e. supporting your local football team. Especially when the most overbearing abuse comes from those who have never been regular attendees. Anyway, we'll see how the protest plays out over the coming weeks. Hopefully TMG get their act together, however fully expecting it too be a pua flaccid effort.

If you read that conversation with Neesy I agreed with his assertion that anyone booing their own players is an arsehole
-
Interesting take. Getting booed by your own fans didn't help! What a lowda wet. Well, you've got be a fucking arsehole to go to an away game to boo one of your own players who was struggling with confidence. Have never booed a player in black & white and never will. What that has to do with questioning Thauvin's mental frailties, je ne sais pas. You seek hypocrisy where none exists marra.
-
There were a handful of boos in the corner / East Stand like. As always, any grown adult booing one of their own should be shot on sight. Sickeningly embarrassing and was lush how quickly he mugged them off.
-
Thought you were deed. Welcome back. Still a regular lurker, just don't have the time to get in daily scraps with KI (like you really mate, just rattled me into re-emergence on this issue ha).
-
I see hysteria is still the principle currency on here. Thought it was fantastic to see his flag pre-match after some of the internet dribble that's been spouted over the last few days. He made a couple of misguided comments however has continually been a model captain both on the pitch and in the community over the last couple of years. Thankfully the lads at Wor Flags aren't as fickle as it would appear many of our 'fans' are. Lascelles was fully committed prior to his injury, as he always is. Talking about stopping donations and giving up on protests ffs. Incredible levels of wet. Good fighting victory, enjoy your Saturday night.
