Stoke City vs Newcastle United - 1/1/18, 3pm KO.

Oh that hurts, especially coming from someone who I hold in such high regard as yourself -
^fuming We were Davey lad. Took him an eternity to release the ball on a number of occasions despite there being plenty of options in attacking areas.

Yep gave up my season ticket once before but still went to a few games witbout it as it isn't compulsory to have a season ticket to attend games. Didn't criticise those who chose to vent their frustrations at poor performances in my absence either. You did call them mugs though They are/I am really. Still if the team is continually churning out rubbish, they/I am entitled to criticise them. Today was pathetic and any stick the players get was totally justified. -

Same, means Wallendmag wont be on after the match because only fans who attend can comment. Too right I won't. I'm off to Mauritius tomorrow for a bit winter sun! -
Actually thought he did ok today. Was feeding off scraps but won quite a bit in the air and showed some nice touches. Replacing him with Murphy when our gameplay by that point was to hit it long was nonsense.

Hasn't had enough money to compete, bless him.

It's a criticism of parts of the crowd, not all of it. Why turn on the players? is my response to that. Ashley is where the entirety of the turning should be. Booing the team at half time and during the match is self defeating, as frustrating as it undoubtedly is. Again, I'd go back to the whole 'we don't demand a team that wins...' stuff. If trying is what's actually demanded, then why are people still groaning and booing when they're clearly trying? Collectively it's a difficult thing to change, but we need to realise that SJP is known for being the place where the opposition look to get the crowd to turn against us, presumably because it's unique to us, and a good way of getting a win. Easy to say when you're sat in the warm watching on an internet stream. In reality when you've paid £100s to sit in the freezing cold watching absolute rubbish the patience of the most placid of people is tested, as was the case today. As I've said many times before, I gave up my season ticket. I had exactly the same opinion of the crowd and booing back then as I do now. You come on after every home game criticising the fans yet you don't bother your backside to get along to support once in a while yourself and totally ignore the fact that the supporters are the best thing about the club. I do a lot more than that, but if that's the one post you want to pick up on, feel free. I don't go because of Ashley, not because I 'don't bother my backside', I've mentioned that plenty of times. No one is under any illusion of you being a superfan either though, so I'm not sure why you keep playing that hand and we have to do this whole pathetic song and dance about it. I'm no superfan but I don't continue to criticise the best thing about the club after every home game either whilst totally missing the bigger issues. Today was probably the most stick the team has had since Rafa arrived, and you know what, it was totally deserved. Continue to ctritcise from your armchair thoughif it makes you feel better about yourself. -

The invisible man once again. Jogs around the centre circle doning absolutely nothing whilst Merino has to do literally everything else.

Crowd lost it with him a few times because of his slowness of distribution. When he held onto the ball for so long in the 75th minute the jeers from the stands was the loudest noise heard all afternoon. Good job he had nowt to do.

Garbage. No other words needed. -
I'm a fan of his and always will be but I found it surprising that, with 10 minutes to go and with us desperate for a goal to nick the game 1-0 he took off the one striker who he's showed more faith in than any of the others (and tbf he was doing ok) and replaced him with a winger who has never scored a PL goal. Aside from that what an absolutely utterly dreadful performance. Nothing at all there to be optimistic about.

He's our 2nd best central midfielder. We can't just be getting rid of him like that.

Just need to win at all costs. If tonight was a free hit, this is anything but. -
Thought he did ok tonight, especially 2nd half when we seen a bit more of the ball.
-
And, right on cue, here come the cheerleaders pop poms and all........
-
Bizarre statement when we strolled the match 3-0. He certainly didn't win us that game. We would have won that even if we'd stuck Darlow in there.
-
No complaints from me today. They are on a totally different level to us which is hardly surprising when you see what both teams have invested in their squads, yet they were happy to see the final whistle.
-
The fact that you are over compensating with applause and fake laughs after every post suggests otherwise Davey.
-
You're absolutely seething he's had another steady game. The stench of bitterness oozes from your posts on this thread. Mention Darlows save against Everton again but not the one he threw to Rooney if it cheers you up Davey lad.
-
You're gutted he's had another solid game tonight. Too petty to give him even an ounce of praise and instead mentioning that Darlow made a good save against Everton which meant nothing when he gave them the winning goal. Pathetic and petty minded attitude you have. Sad to see.
-
Stop being so petty minded and chill out Davey boy. He's far better than Darlow so stop kidding yourself otherwise.
-
Oozes class. Hopefully he's nice and fresh for the far bigger game on Saturday.
