  1. Embarrassing. They got their @rses handed to them of a few dozen Russians and they'll foolishly think that provoking the police is a way to restore their dented pride.
  2. Just goes to back up what I've been saying all along. The majority of Sunderland fans support paedophilia. Forget that their club covered it up, it's more disturbing that a huge percentage of their fans clearly have paedophile tendencies. I've spoken to mackems, one a family member (through marriage) no less, who I'd always thought were pretty balanced people who pin the blame for the whole thing firmly on the bairn. Not normal people. Bit harsh to say most mackems are paedos tbf. Evidence suggests so. I support Newcastle so apparently I like to punch horses. Just playing by their rules. Tbf he only said it was harsh, he didn't say it wasn't true Aye fair comment!

  5. They're even wearing gum shields before going into battle. English fans are hardly blameless but the Russians and local French youths seem to be the instigators. The problem is that the English brought hooliganism into European Football so they are now the scalp the hooligans from other countries want. The 2nd problem is that all the proper English hooligans were banned from travelling and the wannabee hooligans over there now just can't hack it against the rest. I followed Newcastle to Marseille 12 years ago and it was a dodgy experience back then and that was without 1000s of Russians milling about looking for trouble. In hindsight it was always going to be a recipe for disaster.
  6. You should still be able to view it if you click on proceed. I get a message saying I can't buy another season ticket ticket but I can still view the stadium plan. An educated guess would be around 34-35,000 sold so far. The Upper Gallowgate is starting to sell well now in sections R, S & T with people who can't get anywhere else in the the stand. Middle and lower sections as good as sold out. Upper Leazes still has loads of availability but other than that not much left really. With 2 months to go until the start of the season you'd expect final sales in the region of 40,000 which is nothing short of remarkable for a club playing in the 2nd tier of English football.
  7. One of the stupidest posts on here for some time, that too from someone who claims a football coaching and business background. Nowt wrong with my post, he is a poor footballer and the only reason we will get decent money for him is because that's the way football is these days. I wouldn't, based on his performances for us, want to pay good money for him. I hope he goes to Arsenal because he will be found out big time. He lacks the brains and technical ability to play actual football. He can run I'll give him that... Totally agree. He's Athletic, I'll give him that but he's not a particularly good footballer. Combined with his poor goalscoring record and questionable attitude I wouldn't be sad to see the back of him, especially if we can mug some other club of £10m+.
  8. The irony being I don't know of a single Newcastle fan who takes a blind bit of notice of anything Lee Ryder says.
  9. Agree totally. The group stages in these Euros is going to be a pointless waste of time as well. It'll be more difficult to get knocked out of them then to qualify.
  10. They're absolutely foaming that we've took relegation on the chin, even embraced it and are shifting season tickets at a ridiculous rate. We've sneered at their boring wind up attempts and have one of the world's greatest managers to lead us back to the top. It wasn't supposed to be like this. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/has-any-club-in-the-premier-league-premiership-years.1239468/
  11. Wonder if it was them who were attacked by Russians and had their Sunderland "FTM" flag taken off them.
  12. Since the formation of the Championship the highest ever attendance is 52,181 for Newcastle v Ipswich on 24th April 2010. The record average attendance in the Championship is 43,384 also set by Newcastle in 2009/10. Derby were comfortably the best supported club in the league last season with an average crowd of 29,663.
  13. I see he's on the bench. That will be his future should he end up signing for any half decent team.
  14. The Soccerdome is aaful now like, and they bumped the prices up to £60-an-hour to hire it out Could be worse though, Wallsend Boyza just had a green carpet. We play there on Sunday mornings and they only charge us £50 an hour. Agree they could do with sprucing it up a bit now mind.
  15. Leazes end level 4 (18-21 year olds area) has now sold out according to a tweet from NUFC.
  16. Well that's me a season ticket holder once again. Gallowgate block F. Feels good having it back and even better that I'm actually looking forward to it for the first time in about 10 years.
  17. 2 months before the season gets started, Newcastle announce some sections of their (far bigger) stadium are already sold out whereas Villa announce they won't even bother opening a full section of their stadium because the demand for tickets isn't there. Doesn't take a genius to work out which is the bigger club.
  18. They'll cap the season ticket sales at around the 42-44k mark to allow for a % of walk up sales. Doubt we'll quite sell that many but could see us having around 40,000 season ticket holders for next season which is a big increase on last season.
  19. Strawberry corner now sold out. Limited availability in the rest of the Gallowgate.
  20. Means absolutely zilch. What Everton did 30 years ago wouldn't have had any sort of sway to Koeman. Football has changed beyond recognition since then. It's like saying Koeman wouldn't entertain going to Chelsea because when he was in the early stages of his career they were a 2nd division team getting 12,000 crowds. The attractive proposition for Everton is the huge salary on offer and a big transfer kitty, not because they were good 30 years ago.
  21. Strange move for Koeman. A sideways step at best. He's leaving a club massively on the up, playing in European competition, with a cracking team and a state of the art stadium for a club where the supporters still think it's 1985 and will be shouting for his head if they're not in the top 4 by Christmas playing in the worst ground in the league for good measure. Good luck to him, because I like the bloke but I think it's a decision he'll end up regretting.
  22. Yes but over fewer months. Think it might be 8 monthly payments but not 100% sure.
  23. I'd rather have Rafa thanks very much.
