  1. Here's our new manager. But enough of that........ Now let's talk about Newcastle United football club.
  2. In the Ts & Cs of our season tickets at PSV we are required to attend at least 14 of the 17 home games amd if we can't either use resale or pass on to a friend. Failure to do so means we'd lose the right ro renew it for the following season. Actually just received this email this morning; No-show policy & resale The Philips Stadium is sold out almost every game, but because season ticket holders do not always come - a so-called no-show - there are often still empty seats. To limit this, the no-show arrangement will apply from the start of the 24/25 season; As of the new season, season ticket holders are expected to have their seats occupied for at least 14 of the 17 Eredivisie matches or to be offered through resale. Can't you attend a match yourself? Then lend your card to a fellow PSV supporter or offer your card in the resale so that your seat is still occupied. Together we support PSV 100%! Wonder if it's something NUFC will look at doing in the future.
  3. I'm going to that one. They've got Percy Main away on Saturday which I would like to have gone to but I'm in Dumfries that day watching Queen of the South v Aberdeen. I can see me watching most of my football at Non League level next year as NUFC persist with this random ballot carry on. Just counting up grounds I visited last season and it was; PSV Eindhoven 9 times Heaton Stan 9 times NUFC 6 times Gateshead 5 times Chelsea 2 times Arsenal once (PSV Champions League) First time since 1984 that NUFC wouldn't have been top by an absolute mile thanks to the ballot. Back onto the topic of Shields and by all accounts the feel good factor is slowly returning. They are engaging with their supporters at last, putting on various social events in their clubhouse and have 2 buses going down to their friendly match at Knaresborough in a couple of weeks.
  4. Aye that one always amuses me. We have literally 10s of 1000s of fans locked out of every home game because demand is so high whereas they have a minimum of 10k empty plastic seats at every home game meaning anyone who fancies it can simple rock up on the day and get in. They've never had an era in their whole history where they've had fans locked out of watching their team on a regular basis like we have. It's always been easy to pick amd choose games for them as they've never had the demand.
  5. Ticket number 001. Assume that means that you are their 1st season ticket holder of the season! Great value at under £2.50 per game mind. My North Shields supporting mate reckons you are playing them in a friendly tonight at John Spence.
  6. He's a rabid scouse mackem I believe, and from what I can gather an absolute prick according to those who've had the 'pleasure' of his company.
  7. It's doesn't have to happen. If you check the Ts and Cs you have no right to renew your season ticket. You get it on a yearly basis, unless you're on a long term deal but they'll all be finished by then anyway. I agree the club will accommodate them, like they did when they kicked fans out of the Milburn Stand in the 90s, but they don't have any obligation to. Probably around 4k ST holders in the East stand so there would be enough room to dot them around the other 3 sides of the ground if they wanted.
  8. That would be an atmosphere killer if ever there was one!
  9. Just had an email about memberships and what my preferences for next season would be, ie go back to the old way, keep it the same or tweak it slightly. Think they may be changing how members apply for tickets next season.
  10. They need to get real. Their best player for the first half of last season and the only player they had who didn't look totally out of his depth against us was Pritchard, and they only got 100k for him.
  11. How can we draw with a Country with a 2m population? This isn't possible according to Greame Souness.
  12. Was hilarious watching Laura Woods trying not to burst out laughing at her
  13. Sorry pal I didn't realise only revolutionary observations were allowed on here. Must try harder!
  14. Could have just said 35 year old rather than going into their age 36 season, which is an expression I've never heard before. Suppose it makes him sound a bit older though which is what you were trying to do Think if he'd had a really good season for us last year and a good Euros we might have been able to get £3/£4m as potentially he could play till hes 37 or 38 but as none of those happened he's as good as worthless.
  15. Pundits giving him stick now. If we want rid we'll just have to give him away for a nominal fee.
  16. https://x.com/CasualMind_/status/1804151380677902695?t=ewgd-V_IQXMXdYCyCjFzbQ&s=19
  17. I know we play everyone twice, but I actually quite like the look of that. We don't have what you'd call a really bad month where we play all the top teams and could potentially get into a bit of a rut. It's all spread out nicely.
  18. They're starting with the made up stories about Newcastle fans getting battered by MLFs over in Germany now Honestly there's not another fanbase remotely like that lot out there!
  19. Eventually loyalty points will prevent it from being a lucky dip though. Tbh the ballot needs scrapped altogether amyway. It's an awful system. Go back to the old way but introduce loyalty points for members. As time progresses start with the thresholds. Man Utd away goes on sale to members with 10+ points first and so on. Then you're starting to reward loyalty instead of it being a lucky dip.
  20. It wouldn't be an overnight fix but by law of averages, over time the more games you apply for, the more games you'll attend, and the more points you'll accrue. It's been a tried and tested method at other clubs.
  21. They need to start a loyalty scheme for members at the very least whereby you accumulate points based on how many home games you attend (obviously away games are a non starter as things stand). Then for the big games they sell it to members on a loyalty points basis. When we play the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd etc if nothing else it would make it more difficult for away fans to infiltrate home sections and then as time goes on, the members who go to the most games get priority.
  22. If it's still a ballot I'm out regardless.
  23. Sacked by Hull because their owner wanted to play attacking football and he didn't.
  24. They're already busy convincing themselves that Rosenior is the man they wanted all along.
  25. Personally thought it was shite when we've played at the SoL but each to their own I suppose. Prefer something that the fans can interact with or is at least a bit catchy rather than standing there listening to Classical music before KO.
