Aye. Made sure he didn't play against them and only paid £8m more for him than they paid for Wirtz, and nearly £20m less than they sold Coutinho for 7 years ago. Strikers sell for a Premium and he's one of the top 3 in the World. I've always thought we were a bit of a soft touch, the way we've let the Premier league take the piss where at least Man City have taken the fight to them, and this feels like another one of those occasions where we've rolled over and had our bellies tickled. In saying that I'm delighted with Woltemade and Wissa coming in.

We've got season tickets there. I watch him every week. He's incredible. His performance when they knocked Juventus out of the CL last season was one of the best individual performances I've ever seen. His fitness is ridiculous as well. He'll play until he's 40.

Tbf he's still a hell of a footballer. Lost 5 absolutely massive 1st team players in the summer in De Jong, Tillman Bakayoko, Lang and Boscagli and their replacements look a bit off it to me. The one really good player signed in the summer, Alassane Plea from Borussia Monchengladbach was injured in the 2nd game of the season and is likely to miss the rest of the season.

3 games. 6 points for them. We looked woeful against a team of a similar standing to this lot yesterday.
-
To put how bad a result this was for PSV, they were playing Telstar IJmuiden (that's where the ferry goes to from North Shields) at home and this was their first win in the Eredivisie since 1978.

VAR is used in this Country to assist the so called big teams. It's corruption, simple as that.
-
Apparently it was around 9am last season.

We went there in 2004 with Keith Barrett. XL Airlines charter from Newcastle to Nice and we stayed in Cannes which was a canny place. Got bussed in and out of Marseille on matchday and remember it just looking rough as fuck. Could never have stayed there. Probably the most mental home fans I've experienced as well. Atmosphere was off the scale.

Go to Bundesliga matches quite regularly. Always away fans mixed in with home fans even when the away side haven't sold tehor allocation and never seen any bother. It's just the done thing over there. Went to watch Gladbach twice last season. It's one of my favourite ones to visit. Remember going to Frankfurt v Koln a couple of seasons ago. We had a Koln fan sat right in front of us in the Frankfurt end. He was acting like a bit of a wanker tbh. Singing Koln songs on his own, bouncing around, and even going as far as getting in the home fans faces, ruffling their hair etc when Koln equalised to make it 1-1 and yet not one person said a thing to him

Cologne is an unbelievable city to visit. Shame the allocation for Leverkusen will likely just be 2k or so but tickets in the home end should be pretty easy to come by, and you'll get no bother off the home fans for going in with them either. Obviously not with the Ultras like, but in any of the 3 other sides.

Apparently. My mate in Eindhoven reckons that's where they're playing their home European games this season.
-
USG away being played at Anderlecht. Not sure if it's already been mentioned.
-
Was peeking over at RTG before there and they reckon it's 8 months since Rigg had a good game

In that case we are different then. I've always been on the "I want to see us win something" side of the fence rather than "I'd rather finish top 4" so we'll always disagree on this one. I'll always remember being there to see us win the League Cup Final. Best day pf my NUFC supporting life by an absolute mile. Watching us lose to Everton to qualify for the CL a couple of months later didn't even come close. Also think you might be deluding yourself a bit if you think we're capable of making the Champions League Semi Finals, regardless of how long we stay in the League Cup.
-
Again I'm not sure of your point. We have 2 realistic chances of winning a trophy this season. Why throw one away?
-
Very much so. Aside from that we have 2 realistic chances of winning a trophy this season. League Cup and FA Cup. Why would we throw one of them away? We've finally broken our hoodoo. Need to kick on noe by winning something again shortly after.
-
Apparently Chelsea, or more to the point their owner benefits from this as they tout there tickets through an agency that they own. Top level football is a very murky wold these days. Touting contradicts everything else they do. If me or you want a ticket they need to know our name, address, DOB, supporter number that they've allocated us etc, yet they are perfectly happy for 100s of their tickets to be touted to people who they have no idea about. Don't mind facial recognition at all tbh. We already do it when we go through passport control these days. And it's a genuine deterant to touting.

Nah.

The Trophy Virgins never fail to make me smile.

Tickets were only a tenner and a fiver for kids as well

Their away support has been shite for years. I was in the East Stand Leazes corner, so in fairly close proximity, and could barely hear them.
