6. We've sorted out the defence which was the priority (assuming Burn comes in) but I still think we look a bit light up the other end. Not sure there's enough goals in that team. Good window overall though.

I can totally understand their levels of bitterness towards us. It was expected after the takeover and they haven't disappointed. However look at it from their perspective. Most of the posters over there are in their 40s, 50s, 60s and even older. They are never going to experience a time where they will be anywhere near as good as we are. They'll never get close to us again in their lifetimes. They know this and that's the sort of thing that would just eat away at you. It's broken a lot of them

Same here. Would rather be hated than be one of those non entity clubs that nobody gives a toss about like Southampton, Burnley etc.
-
If Rafa gets the sack I'd immediately sack Howe and bring him in. He's had a nightmare at Everton, but in truth it was never going to work out there for him. It was a match made in hell. He just seemed to be a nice fit here. Improved us massively whilst turning in a profit in the transfer market. Bring him in and give him some proper backing. There's nobody out there, available or who would take the job, who would be a better option than him.

Disgrace as a player. Disgrace as a captain.

Realistically we're gone. This squad and this manager haven't got it in them to get us out of it. Those are the cold, hard facts.
-
Said when he took the job he took a far better Bournemouth team down than what we have here. Seems a decent enough bloke but increasingly doesn't look up to the job. Performances have generally been woeful. Hasn't given us any sort of new manager bounce in the way Gerrard did at Villa for example. He's had some winnable games as well, Brentford, Norwich, Burnley and Watford all at home. 6 points from those 4 games is nowhere near good enough.

Any more of that and Moyes will start to lose the legendary status he has for himself in the North East!

Face like a welders bench bless her.
-
That was his sales pitch. Train times much quicker due to Newcastle being on the East Coast Main Line.
-
He was going to sign for Middlesbrough, who were a league above us at the time until Keegan managed to convince him that Newcastle was closer to London than Middlesbrough is.
-
They did. Technically they could still open 1 more block but instead they seem to be keeping it completely empty for segregation purposes which seems a bit OTT.
-
Seems like we're wasting our time with this one but can't knock the ambition of the owners.
-
Another 600 tickets on sale for anyone who couldn't get one.
-
Absolutely incredible signing for us, assuming it goes through of course.
-
Nah they just move the barrier along in the concourse. Did it v Oxford in the Cup a couple of years ago.
-
Not sure why they are leaving 2 blocks totally empty. That's probably 1,200 seats which is a decent amount of cash for Cambridge. Cambridge have already said they have approx 200 tickets remaining from their 4,920 allocation and won't be requesting any more. Just seems a bit silly.
-
Cambridge have tweeted that they won't be requesting any more tickets so there's no reason why they can't put the last 2 blocks on sale other than incompetence. I really hope these new owners sort the ticket office and its staff out because they are useless.
-
Should be able to sell another 2 blocks and then put the segregation tarpaulin down the next block. Usually they play have a segregation buffer of around 8-10 seats.
-
Another block on sale if anyone was struggling to get a ticket.
-
Not at all. It's hardly arrogance to suggest that we'd win a league we've won the last 3 times we've been in it with the financial power we have whilst they'd struggle as a newly promoted side.
-
Yes we could be. Sunderland fans have been saying that for the past 4 years though and it hasn't happened yet. Even if we are the outlook for both clubs is completely different. We'd no doubt walk the league and they'd be fighting relegation.
-
Try being in their shoes. Their hated rivals a mere 12 miles up the road are now the World's richest club whilst they are marooned on the 3rd Division for the 4th season in a row. Honestly if the roles were reversed I don't know how I'd cope. It would probably put me off football! It must be bordering on the unbearable being a Sunderland fan these days and it's on going to get worse for them as we become bigger and better, year after year, trophies will surely follow and huge areas which would traditionally be Sunderland support will turn black and white. This is what they've got to look forward to. This is their future. It's why I give them some leeway to a point. They are in a permanent state of rage on their forum (yes I know its hilarious ), the NUFC topic is totally off the bitterness scale, and twitter is the same but I sort of get that because we'd probably be the same if the roles were reversed. It would be horrible! It's driven by fear and jealously and I understand that.
