  1. Should be able to sell another 2 blocks and then put the segregation tarpaulin down the next block. Usually they play have a segregation buffer of around 8-10 seats.
  2. Another block on sale if anyone was struggling to get a ticket.
  3. Not at all. It's hardly arrogance to suggest that we'd win a league we've won the last 3 times we've been in it with the financial power we have whilst they'd struggle as a newly promoted side.
  4. Yes we could be. Sunderland fans have been saying that for the past 4 years though and it hasn't happened yet. Even if we are the outlook for both clubs is completely different. We'd no doubt walk the league and they'd be fighting relegation.
  5. Try being in their shoes. Their hated rivals a mere 12 miles up the road are now the World's richest club whilst they are marooned on the 3rd Division for the 4th season in a row. Honestly if the roles were reversed I don't know how I'd cope. It would probably put me off football! It must be bordering on the unbearable being a Sunderland fan these days and it's on going to get worse for them as we become bigger and better, year after year, trophies will surely follow and huge areas which would traditionally be Sunderland support will turn black and white. This is what they've got to look forward to. This is their future. It's why I give them some leeway to a point. They are in a permanent state of rage on their forum (yes I know its hilarious ), the NUFC topic is totally off the bitterness scale, and twitter is the same but I sort of get that because we'd probably be the same if the roles were reversed. It would be horrible! It's driven by fear and jealously and I understand that.
  6. It's changed quite a bit since then mate. The stands are far steeper than they were back in those days, the fans won't be packed in and the facilities are a million times better.
  7. People would be stood up for a start. Plenty do in the front and upper tiers anyway (Plus the corner) but all 12,000 standing would be immense and would massively help the atmosphere (not that it's needed much help lately).
  8. The entire Gallowgate standing would be just incredible!
  9. Even during our darkest days I could never have envisaged a time where we would be entertaining Fleetwood Town in a 3rd Division football match
  10. Tbf there was over 52k at our last home FA Cup match v Oxford. Lower bowl completely sold out now so once they put L7 on sale it'll be a complete sell out I imagine.
  11. I agree. He played a massive part in getting us straight back up at the 1st time of asking. He's well past his best now but that's hardly his fault. If he's selected to play he'll always give his all. He's just not at the required level now.
  12. Was an extremely "low bar" for penalties last week however. Surely they can't just chop and change from one week to the next depending on which teams the decisions affect.
  13. Ex ref Keith Hackett having an absolute field day on twitter here!
  14. People's opinions of him please? I've long been an advocate of cashing in on him as I think he spends too much time out injured, especially for a GK, but having watched him return from his latest injury I'm thinking more and more that it's a position we maybe need to look at strengthening next month.
  15. 4 defenders, a goalkeeper, a proper midfielder and another forward as Wilson is due an injury soon
  16. Assume this new rule (that has never been announced) will mean no more penalties against defenders grappling with centre forwards when a corner tick is about to be taken, because we've had a few of those given against us over the years as well?
  17. He's not done himself any favours with this team selection mind.
  18. We prove it time and time again, most recently v Leicester on Sunday, but if you are on a bad run (a team or a centre forward) just wheel out Newcastle and we'll end that for you no problem. Don't think Kane had scored a league goal all season till he played us back in October!
  19. He runs around and tries hard.
  20. Should be full I'd have thought. We had 52k+ v Oxford just before COVID and that was for a Mike Ashley owned NUFC, managed by Steve Bruce.
  21. Same set up and attitude as against Brentford will be fine. We'd have won that if not for Darlow.
  22. I was in the Gallowgate. It just seemed to go straight through him.
  23. Absolutely disgusting performance from him today. One thing Howe got worng was picking this clown over Dubravka. Haven't seen the goals back on TV yet but inside the ground I thought he could have done better with all 3.
