Don't think so. I only paid a pound!

They sent me an email earlier (not sure why as I cancel my membership 2 years ago) regarding safe standing at SJP and that they'd already contacted the club; "NUST have already contacted the club to find out if they are willing to apply to be an ‘early adopter’ before the October 6th deadline, and hope they will meet with supporters as soon as possible to discuss this idea with those it will impact". Just read in the Chronicle that NUFC have refused to take part in safe standing trials so can only assume they didn't get very far with that one!

Jack Charlton.

People will most likely take their frustrations out on any Leeds fans in the home areas rather than Bruce or Ashley. Especially as most will be pissed due to the kick off time.

Cheers pal. SJP is an absolute disgrace, we all know that, but yesterday it really hit home when compared to a stadium of similar age. It's a crime what Ashley has been allowed to do here. Can't help thinking if he'd bought Chelsea instead of Abramovich he would have been chased out years ago.

Went to the England match at the weekend and yesterday we took the bairn on the Stamford Bridge stadium tour. Baring in mind Stamford Bridge, like SJP is an old stadium. Their East Stand was built in the 70s, same as our East Stand, and the rest of the stadium was totally redeveloped in the 90s and completed around 200, also the same as SJP, but that's where the similarities end. It is immaculate! It was a hive of activity yesterday. Maintenance men buzzing round all over the place and loads of people with cloths and buckets of water wiping down every seat. The place is literally spotless inside and out and it's clear they have so much pride in their stadium and no expense is spared on keeping in in tip top shape. The tour finished with a 2 course meal in Frankies Bar, obviously named in honour of Lampard, same as Shearer's was until Ashley renamed it. Now to be honest, I haven't been in Nine Bar for a good while now but from what I can remember if it compared to Chelsea's equivalent, there was no comparison. As with the rest if the stadium it was spotless. No ripped chairs, big screen TVs, lovely outside seating area, great waiter service and a nice outdoor space to sit and eat our meal. I couldn't have been more impressed with the set up, but came away feeling more depressed about the state of NUFC and our once proud stadium which is in a state of disrepair. Their season ticket prices aren't even that much different to ours. £750 behind either goal (£659 at SJP) and £950 for a top seat along the side (over £1k in parts of the Milburn and over £800 in the East Stand). They are watching some of the best players in the World and played of course European Champions and we can't (won't) even afford loan players. Ashley isn't just selling the matchgoing fans short, he's taking the piss out of you and having a good laugh at your expense.

Tbh I think Nuno Espirito Santo probably deserves it. 3 wins from 3 including beating Man City. Great start from Rafa though and I've already noticed the 2 Everton fans I work with, who were dead against his appointment, are now changing their tune!
-
Good on him. They've made a very good start. They already look a far better team than they did last season under Ancelotti.

It was a strange one. Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool at home v Carlisle all on the same day. We got the train over to watch Hartlepool v Carlisle and there was plenty of NUFC, Sunderland, Boro and Carlisle fans mingling at the Central Station and all seemed to be getting on fine. Heard one of the Boro fans joking to a mackem fan on our platform that COVID must have settled everyone down.

Should've just went straight to pens from the start, save them from sitting through 90 minutes of purgatory. -

Signed for Greuther Furth. -
Mine (junior ticket) was £178 for the Leazes in 93/94.

On the plus side it gives Di Marco more time to perfect his bread making skills and paint some more pictures. Every cloud and all that.

A petition and a non violent protest (NUST can do a quick risk assessment) must be organised immediately.

Must admit this describes me. I was as fanatical as they come in my school days, teens, 20s, & early 30s. Went 14 seasons without missing a single home game in any competition (I was even one of the 4,600 at the Cesena match) and a regular at aways but my passion for the club is almost drained away and I no longer attend matches. Don't even watch on TV as it gives me zero pleasure and tbh I don't really have the interest these days. A takeover would rekindle my interest to a point, not to previous levels but it would come back. If it all falls through, which is what I'm expecting, then I can categorically say that would be me done 100% with NUFC and football in general in this country. Also I don't have the stomach for a protest so I wouldn't be joining in with one of those either. I think there'd be 1000s who would simply just call it a day and shuffle off quietly if truth be told.

Staveley has come across extremely well in these interviews. She's made a lot of the doubters change their opinion of her. She'd be the perfect front for NUFC.

He's just blocked me as well!
-
Everything he says is made up. He's not a full shilling. He's a fantasist. The amount of people who still hang onto his every word is staggering.
-
That's my view as well. If there were still any doubters about the "big 6" (I hate typing that) controlling Emglish football then surely they now realise that it's them who call the shots. All 6 are dead against it, for their own interests, which is why I just can't see it happening. It's their ball and they decide who plays.
-
To put that into perspective a big proportion of those are who have just let their 20/21 tickets roll over into next season.

Made me laugh anyway. -
It appears the Celtic fans aren't taking Rangers winning the league very well. After a Social Media campaign against their Chief Executive Peter Lawwell his house was petrol bombed this morning.
