I've been quite vocal in opposition of jokes being posted blanketed on facebook because of its ever visible and volatile nature but have only posted stuff here because I know it's between a small group of like minded people. That said I'll stop if people are fed up of it.

Fwiw some of it I do find funny but only in the context of my own friendship groups, otherwise I find it grossly ignorant and irresponsible.

Thing is with Facebook people post stuff like that ignorant of whether it offends or could be potentially sensitive because they find it funny and then legitimise trivialising it by saying they are doing their part to humiliate. It's crap. You'll get the free speech nonsense too which from a rights and debate perspective is something I agree with but there's a difference between that and blanket posting stuff because you can. Too much is played upon by people on Facebook citing freedom of expression. Have done empathy and common sense ffs.

Not really about the teams or the support. Most people will be moral from both camps but like you say, they'll be a vocal minority who'll make them look like fools.
