  1. thats a damn good question Easy. The same people who were in charge yesterday. Not a chance JFK did any more on a daily basis than slob about the place quaffing expensive single malts and telling Mike everything is absolutely triffic.
  2. Is he aware that 'the 20th century' was only 15 years ago. He probably needed to add 'early' if he wanted to go along that line.
  3. Brett, you're a nice lad even though you're shit at darts, and I agree with you about the dickheads running on the pitch (just makes us look as bad as the mackems) but I don't know what you expected the fans to do? After last years capitulation and near relegation, the lack of signings (both summer and jan), the sale of our best player with no replacement, Kinnear, Pardew's constant drivel and excuses, the cup competition debacle and the plethora of other issues under the tenure of Mr M W Ashley to then find ourselves once again being dominated by our most despised local rivals on our own patch I'm frankly surprised that there wasn't a lot more anger. That says a lot about how our fans feel now, many can't even be bothered to kick up a fuss. I cancelled my season ticket last year and have only been up twice this season, for Man City and this weekend (and I didn't even go to the City game). Next time I come up for the weekend it will be purely to meet up with the guys off here and I will have no intention of setting foot in the stadium. I gave them the chance to win me back on Saturday and they showed how little they wanted my patronage. The way the manager and players just slipped off down the tunnel, barely able to look at the stands said everything about them as a group. They can say what they like about how they are trying etc etc but it means nothing when from top to bottom there is no ambition to succeed. It was always going to filter down to the players eventually.
  4. Loved Baggio. With no England at USA 94 most of the country adopted Ireland. I was all about Italy (got some family over there). The Divine Ponytail was just the most outstanding player around at that time. The Italy side had some unreal players but without Baggio they would never have made the final. He was such a big part of your weekend with Football Italia on C4. Good times, man.
  5. If Pardew doesn't walk he is officially the man with the biggest bollocks in the whole world. There is no way he should be able to stand in front of the cameras and say anything other than "that's it, I'm off"
  6. Popped in to aspers this morning and turned £10 into £55. First time in a casino to boot. Beer tokens for the day secured. #Winning.
  7. I was coming in here to post that I had a good feeling about today, but reading the last two pages of this has made me think again. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-frq7ypWqgaQ/T15vj22geJI/AAAAAAAAAeg/YuKp1mgJbl4/s1600/wad.jpg

    Loïc Remy

Stupid thing to do. Would be very lucky to get away with it even though it was a whole lot of nothing. No way he gets off on appeal.

    Sunderland

The line-up we put out on saturday is going to be fucking woeful at this rate. Expect Krul to pick up a hand injury in training on thursday.

Stupid mackems don't realise the real glory comes in a top half finish just outside the european spots. That's how to get a successful balance sheet. Cups mean nothing, fools.
  11. That is the worst set of penalties I have ever seen. Mackems at Wembley. I'll have to make sure I'm out of the area that day.

    Players in public

I'd be unlikely to turn any of them down if they asked me to disappoint them.
  13. I've got that on video. If it ever sees the light of day I'll send the boys round for you. Capiche.
  14. Still can't believe I missed six darts at double 10. I've been fuming about it all week.
  15. The devil's greatest trick was convincing people he wasn't real.
  16. I had six darts to win at D10. You're victory is purely down to my mistakes and is, therefore, as hollow as Stifler's heed.
  17. I had such high hopes for you. I am much disappoint. Please tell me you're not a Packers/Lions fan.
  18. My arse is the main problem. Cumulative food, drink and exercise has left me dropping nuclear waste since about 4pm yesterday. That one in the town wall was outstanding. I should have signed that masterpiece.
  19. You can go be friends with Mike. I demand you change your username.
  20. I agree with this 100%. I mentioned the same thing in the game thread. If we don't get an owner who is willing to spend, the only hope we have is the EPL implementing a salary cap like all the other major sports in the U.S. The salary cap would in theory level the playing field for all clubs to be able to compete. Until either of those two things happen, not much to look forward to. There is no suggestion a salary cap would help us though. We'd not only need to get the right players in we would need a decent coaching setup. If you support the US teams that your username suggests then you'll know that doesn't always happen. I support other teams than my name would suggest. But a salary cap would help in my estimation. If not a salary cap, how about a cap on the transfer fees that a team can pay in any given transfer window. That would help. It is just so sad that you can basically predict the top 4 teams every year in the EPL. The trouble is the big clubs are way too powerful to get them to sign up for things they don't want to. Uefa a shit scared of pissing them off which is why the FFP regulations are so soft. Shame about your teams though, I guess I'm still alone as a Twins fan.

  22. There is a reason I gave up playing football on a regular basis. Namely, my body is a wreck and it takes 2-3 days to recover. Legs, Back, Knees all fucked today.
