Lost it on HD here aswell. And later in the game the picture went from HD to Standard. So glad I forked out for that new full HD TV now. Bunch of arse.

Given as how Stu has other things to deal with right now could someone else who knows the pitches up there make some arrangements for this. The more notice we have the better as some of us need to get a few things sorted in order to play.

It's ridiculous that at World Cup Finals games there are empty seats. A combination of market conditions, expensive tickets/flights/hotels, and a country that a lot of people just aren't sure about have led to fewer fans making the trips than normal. Normally I would say they should knock out the tickets cheap to the locals but that would mean more of those bloody horns so they can get fucked.

The last month has had constant programming about how shit life is in SA. Makes you wonder, why have they spent so much money putting on the WC when millions live in such terrible conditions. Anyway, enough of that shit. The football is on soon. My step-son is half Saffa so he's gonna annoy the hell out of me when he gets back, especially as I have bet on Mehico. Fortunately he does not know about Vuvuzela's, his fucking recorder is bad enough.

I am immensely satisfied that I am without gainful employment right now. Although I have got the school run 3.15 to 3.45. Thank god for V+.

10 minutes till coverage starts. Off to make the sprog some lunch so as not to miss anything. I love the build up to these things as much as anything. Although I fully anticipate the opening ceremony to be utter ballbags.

Wasted some money on a Group Winners Acca for a £1. Pays £64.78 if it comes up. Also chucked in some 1st/2nd in Gropu Forecasts for fun (Acca, 7 folds, 6 Folds, 5 Folds) all for pennies though. If they all come in however I'll get £56662.30.

Gilardino top Scorer @ 48 on betfair. £2 Italy E/W at 16/1 £2.50 Italy/Gilardino Winner/Top Scorer @ 100/1 Went for Uruguay (11/4) and Mexico (13/8) in todays matches. £2.00 singles and £1 double (8.45/1). Also backed Forlan to score anytime. £3.50 at 11/5. That'll do for today.

Stupid Fucking hairy little hobgoblin.

I presume standard dead heat rules apply. You would be settled at half the stake. So if you put a tenner on it you would get the returns on a fiver. They assume half your bet wins and half your bet loses.

Colildo. Er, nah.

Yeah, click on the selections you want, they'll appear to the right in your bet slip. Click on multiple bets and a further list of bet options will appear below. It will either say Acca or ?-Fold, the ? being how many selections you have made.

I think I could let her off though. And she's an honest girl. Those hips don't lie.

Works just fine, goes by hometown shirely? Aye, but that's what I'm saying. It's hardly his hometown is it. He spent less than a year of his life there as a baby. I doubt he'd consider it his hometown.

Decided to have a few bets, but I want to make my minimal funds last the whole WC so gonna have to be very careful. Just checked my balances and I've got: £35.27 in Bet365 £20.92 in Betfair £19.29 in SkyBet £75.48 in total. Not sure it will last unless I get an early win. Any sensible recomendations.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Coat_of_Arms This will give you more of the story behind the three lions. Monarchs always used poweful beasts as a symbol, to inspire people to follow them and instill fear in their enemies. Don't forget that for thousands of years all people would know of you was the stories they had been told, so if you could spread a story of how you killed some fiersome creature it could serve you well on your travels. Agree about Richard I though. He only came to England a few times, didn't speak English and really hated the country. It was just another title and some more taxes for him to collect. The only reason he is held up as a great king is becasue of his military campaigns and his christian crusades. Give me Henry V any day.

Agreed that it's a good idea, but it doesn't work for all of them. Peter Crouch for instance, tailored by Macclesfield. He was born there but spent the first few years of his life in Singapore before moving to London at about 5 iirc. One could suggest that Macclesfield had nowt to do with tailoring him, although he might have some silk pj's. Big ones of course.

I'm fairly confident we'll win all three group games without too much fuss, probably without letting in more than 2 goals. It's the knock-out stages I'm worried about, with the pressure on I can see us clamming up against anyone half decent and ballsing it up. Quarter's at least, semi's at best.

I'll be watching all the weekday 3pm games about an hour behind as I have to get the kids from school at 3.30, so I'll V+ the games and watch as live from 4pm. The kids will have to wait for their dinner. Obviously the England game on Weds 23rd will be the exception to this rule.

My mum's family are from Durham and are mostly Mackems or Poolies. My Dad is from London but supports Villa, my brother is also a Villa fan so I didn't really get the whole "you have to support your local team thing". I liked Everton in the mid 80's as my Dad took us to see Villa vs Everton and, being an antagonistic little cunt, rooted for the opposition. I really picked up on Newcastle with some visits to the city with my north east family. Even then Black and White shirts and flags were everywhere. Then we signed Mirandinha and I was awestruck by the very young Paul Gascoigne. That was me hooked and when the Keegan era kicked off it went from mild support to fanatical following.

I'm a retard. How do I get my team up on here?? I may need a step by step idiots guide.
