And i think there are some decent managers they could attract if he left them O'Niell, Curbishley, Holloway, Hughes, Martinez plus some top managers from abroad.

Well i would agree that Nolan and Barton (imo) didn't want to leave though i think Carroll did and even then there is still the likes of Enrique, Milner, Owen and Bassong.

Yes the list does go on but i think the point Wearside was making that we also have players who want to leave. His post was in response to bluestar.

Will be a sad day for the North East if/when Nissan leaves Sunderland. It's not just Nissan itself, it's all the thousands employed by companies that supply Nissan. Expect house re-possessions and bankruptcy's galore if it happens. Indeed it will be a sad day. My brother works for Vantec next door and they'd be snookered if Nissan went tits up. Well, the company i work for supplies the mwith chassis so i would be out of a job.

So, how many posters have joined this forum because of Ben Arfa ? Mimi, Tunisia i am sure there are a few others aswell the fact that people are so interested says a lot.

Pretty much, tbh. There, there, you keep clinging to your cup finals. Fortunately the derby isn't our be all and end all these days, it used to be when we were shit, but we have other more important things to aim for these days. And well done Mike, i'm looking forward to seeing the new Sports Direct logo where it used to say Newcastle United. His opinion is a valid one. You may not like what he has to say but he's been closer to the regime than anyone on this board which gives his views some gravitas. I know his opinion is a valid one, I just don't agree with it. And whether he's close to the regime or not is irrelevant to my criticism, Barton should keep his mouth shut whether he's right or wrong. Where has keeping your mouth shut ever got you? I proudly participated in chants of SOUNESS OUT repeatedly at SJP and I'd like to think that helped to get him sacked. You're a fan of NUFC, that's fine. Barton is a professional footballer who plays for QPR. There's a lot of distance between those two. I'd disagree, I think Barton is a fan of NUFC too. Firstly, I still believe that players, while loyalty is dead, feel some sentiment for clubs they play for and probably want them to succeed if they aren't f***ed over by them. Secondly, I believe him when he says that he felt an affinity for the place, not least as he has become less of a volatile, crime-happy vagabond at NUFC, and likely (or so I would hope) appreciates our patience with him. If he appreciates our patience with him then why is he giving us a hard time? The same people who chose not to sack him when he went to prison are the people he's having a go at now. Anyway, pointless discussion really, I just think Barton is now a QPR player and should show some professionalism and mind his own business. Whether he has any affection for NUFC is beside the point. he is maybe giving "us"(by us i mean the board) a hard time because he doesn't like fans being lied too and also didn't Mike Ashely want to sack Barton but Keegan wanted to keep him ? And personally i am glad that Barton is highlighting these things the truth needs to be known, the only thing i would say is that if i was Q.P.R fan i would be dissapointed to see Barton fawning over another club.

yes, sooooooo glad we didn't ( sign Michael Johnson ).

Is there anywhere i can watch Soccer a.m ? I missed it this morning.

Howay man, nowt to do with the club, they've have tried our hardest on the lad, time to give up. I agree, this is different to Barton or Carroll, both had redeeming features and were seemingly more interested in being footballers. Ranger is in my opinion a lost cause.

In a highly unusual move the government agreed for all documents to be published, including notes of discussions between then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and her senior advisors normally kept secret for 30 years It is understood the government has bowed to pressure after an online petition, which was last night had more than 130,000 signatories, demanded the publication of all files relating to the disaster, when 96 Liverpool fans died at the match against Nottingham Forest on April 15 1989. A government source said under the previous situation the documents would have been released to the panel, but there was no guarantee they would have been seen by the public. But now the Cabinet office has committed to full disclosure. A statement released on the online petition last night read: “The Government has confirmed its commitment to full transparency about the Hillsborough disaster through full public disclosure. “All papers had previously been shared with the Hillsborough Independent Panel. “The Government is happy for all the papers, including Cabinet papers, to be released as soon as the panel so decides, in consultation with the families. We expect them to be shared with the Hillsborough families first and then to the wider public.” A spokesman added the government would still appeal against the ruling of Information Commissioner Christopher Graham that the papers should now be made public as it said it wanted them to be released in an ordered way to the victims’ families first before the media. 1 2 next Comments (20) Recommend (9) Read More http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2011/08/25/victory-for-hillsborough-campaigners-online-petition-after-government-says-all-documents-and-files-can-be-published-100252-29298373/#ixzz1W9RB5hWU

Like Man U and Chelsea haven't been reported for tapping up players. Come off it man all clubs do it. Charlton should take the money and use it to get their shitty dressing rooms painted. Wolfsburg's Diego's agent said the other day that the player had agreed terms with Atlético, despite the fact they haven't agreed terms with Wolfsburg yet Don't Real Madrid do that aswell ? I am sure i heard ronaldo had already agreed a deal with them before they were given permission to speak to him by Man u ?

this not good news.

I realy can't believe most of them are defending Bardsley's tackle.
