  1. Me, too. I convinced myself that we would be playing good football, too and that he only played that way at Bolton because of the lack of funds. I was young and naive.
  2. Just been watching, the top 50 goals on espn, Tiote's came 2nd behind rooney's.
  3. Have you ever been to Scotland game? Honestly, 'Stick team GB up your arse was as prominent as flower of scotland a couple of years ago when the debate was high profile. I'd imagine a lot of Rangers fans want it, but do a survey at Hampden and I'd bet a lot that the vast majority would oppose it. It's very passionate too, it seems to be seen that you can't be a Scotland fan if you'd like team GB. I wouldn't claim that a message board is hard evidence, but this is the main Tartan Army board: http://taboard.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=129686&st=0 Completely off topic but if you look on the 2nd page they have a Shane Ferguson thread.
  4. He denies, playing longball and blames the madia for creating the perception that he does.
  5. Tell you what. I think it might be easier if you just reel off the positives about Birmingham tbh. I can't think of any but i cant think of too many negatives either. They are just a normal club.
  6. What is everyone's problem with Birmingham ?
  7. Hope he does, well. It will be, one of the more difficult years to get promoted, in my opinion.
  8. We seem to try and play some decent football.
  9. We will never be able to rival Manchestere United as the biggest club in the country. We may, if we are lucky or Manchester United, decline be able to produce a team as good as their's but they will always be bigger. Though i do agree that we could be bigger than we are now.
  10. He's a very fluent, lively writer and does come up with some original takes on things. At the same time, his fluent, original take is just as likely to be daft as something that a less articulate writer comes up with. If your definition of 'big' is European success, then we're not 'big'. Simple as that, really. He seems to be interpreting the Nolan sale in the same way as the Carroll sale, but in fact they're quite different. With Nolan, it's part of our rebuilding process. He also seems uncertain about where he himself stands in relation to Ashley's desire to distance himself from the emotional pressures surrounding the club and its decisions. Personally, I think a bit of distance is what our club has needed for a long time. Ofcourse, we aren't a European Juggernaut that is up their with the likes of Barca, Madrid and Mnachester United. I wasn't disagreeing with the fact that we aren't a massive European club, but his lack of research on why Nolan left is why ithought it was a poor article and the fact that i have read many other articls by him which to me suggest he is a poor journalist. You say he comes up with a fluent original take on things i havent seen much evidence but will take your word for it.
  11. I can't believe he ever won sports journalist of the year.

Hundreds of people were injured when a wall collapsed at the stadium in Brussels, Belgium, after fighting between rival fans before the European Cup final between Liverpool and Juventus. The aftermath saw English clubs banned from European competition for five years, with Liverpool serving an extra year’s suspension. . The film is based on the novel In the Crowd, by French author Laurent Mauvignier which follows fans from England, Belgium, France and Italy on the day of the game. Jean Baptiste Babin, from BackUp Films, told Screen magazine the story was “very strong in terms of European identity”. It will be directed by French film-maker Jean Stephane Sauvaire whose last film, Johnny Mad Dog in 2008, was about child soldiers in Africa. 20. Not at all, man. I'm fairly laying into them right now as we speak. http://www.whereandnow.com/media/images/stories/cafe%20kick%20spirit%20bottles.JPG Don't blame me. The level of mongitudinal histrionics in this and other threads has driven me to it.
