Fast Forward 10 years Not sure how that is relevant - asking to give a 22 year old time is a perfectly valid concept.
-
Don't quite see the value in writing a 22 year old off after 1 season and a half in a new country. Clearly shouldn't be starting and I'm not sure how you get him to develop if he isn't playing (maybe a loan next season, but that just perpetuates the issue if/when he returns), but I wouldn't give up on him yet.
-
I agree with this, but then he keeps shooting himself in the foot. Thereby rendering said run of games impossible Very true. There's definitely a decent striker in there somewhere - for all his bluster, he's a confidence player.
-
He's clearly the kind of player who needs a run of games as well.

http://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Blackadder-Confused-Look.gif He scored 9 in 34 last season despite missing about 2 open goals a game. He never looked out if his depth at any point either, actually looked pretty comfortable. For reference England international Bobby Zamora spent over a decade in the Premiership.

How did I not see this story about Cordone? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2847754/Ex-Newcastle-flop-Daniel-Cordone-impersonates-Claudio-Caniggia-Argentina-Masters-friendly-against-Brazil.html

Summary of a relatively amusing interview with Brede Hangeland. Don't want to oversell it. Although doesn't stick the knife into Pardew.

Not sure if I've missed something but are Palace about to spend £30+ on essentially three similar (positionally at least) left sided players in Schlupp, Van Aanholt and Brady?
-
Kind of hoped we would go after him. Thought bigger clubs than Hull would be after him, so you'd think we'd have a chance.
-
Been really impressed by Darlow this season - obviously got a fair bit to work on, but a run of games has really helped him.

If Yedlin plays like he did against Brentford, Anita is going to be a huge miss.

The more I hear from Phil Neville, the less intelligent he appears to become. I had previously thought he was relatively analytical and would speak a bit of sense, but at the moment he seem to talk utter crap.

Love a cross like that - very Solano-esque.

Much much better on Saturday. Looked far more alert and lively and was running at players again.

Would welcome Townsend back - he's shown he can perform in the Premier League and that's all I care about.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

You can't say that Brighton have been lucky - they have deserved their results and are a team with a better mind-set and more experience of fighting to get out of this league than are Newcastle. We were only unlucky at Forest - the rest of the results were deserved because we cannot break down teams that park the bus and compete. I watched the whole Birmingham vs brighton game and they deserved a point at best but got a last minute winner. They got lucky yesterday with Fulham missing a penalty - that's two that spring to mind and they've had a few other last minute winners. Most games we have lost, we've dominated possession and chances - so I'm fairly comfortable in saying we've been more unlucky than Brighton. -

Not sure why ppl seem to be getting so worked about the number of defeats we've had - the points total is all that matters. Completely irrelevant how those points come about. Still think we'll go up - Brighton won't keep winning as they seem to be enjoying a great run of luck at the moment and arguably we've been incredibly unlucky in nearly all of our defeats. Very few of them were deserved defeats. -

No doubt we need to improve in general this season and especially if we go up, but I'm amazed at the extent to which people seem to be overestimating the gap between the bottom half of the PL and the top half of the Championship. Think I was watching Watford vs Palace and the standard of play was abysmal. Absolutely no way we couldn't compete with those types of teams even now. And to be honest we should have beaten Hull comfortably in the cup. Rafa's got this.. -
As if Anita was the problem today.
-
Still not sure how people can write off a bloke so quickly who scored 9 goals in 34 matches at the age of 21 in his first season in the Premier League. Is he as good as I hoped? No. He's clearly not crap though.

Would be stupid to sell Mitrovic for 15 million in today's market.
-
Based on nothing more than youtube highlights and reading about him, I'd love to see us make a statement and go out and get a highly rated winger like Leon Bailey at Genk. Been linked to bigger clubs than us and would set us back quite a lot, but one can dream..
-
Interesting to see what the written statement says, as there does seem to be a level of ambiguity in the evidence that the media have reported. Also not sure what the standard of proof is for FA matters.
-
Really strange that he's had such a dip in form as he looked a level above at the beginning of the season.
