Even with their form, they ain't going down. We will be lucky to catch their current points score. Well - we're down if we don't get their current points score. And their run in is pretty tough.
-
A draw keeps Palace in it - so it's not worst result.

It's 2 of us, Sunderland & Norwich. Swansea are 3 points ahead of us. And we play them at home. No way are they out of it. Difficult end to the season. Face Norwich, Bournemouth and Villa this month. Goal difference is much better which is an additional point. Only Norwich and Sunderland have a comparable goal difference. Yep - if they don't get much out of those three games, they are in serious trouble - their run in is very hard. After their game against Villa, they could quite easily not win another match.

Can't rule Swansea out, surely?

I imagine they'll pick up enough points to stay up but they don't have an easy run in at all.

I think it's a terrible celebration regardless of who is doing it, but would agree that Lingard makes it plunge to new depths of crapness.

Putting aside any bias we might have, where do people think that the peak Keegan side and peak Robson side would finish in recent Premier League seasons? I am tempted to exclude this season as it might skew people's opinions a bit.

Give soldiers Michael Owen's wages.

Gary Jacob @garyjacob 22m22 minutes ago Newcastle want around £5m for Papiss Cisse and he wants two-year deal - putting off Chinese clubs, who tried for Pellè but told no by Saints Would seem a bit odd to try and sell Cisse now.

I am not sure how people are getting away from the whole killing/ending someone's life thing. If you get in a car and you are drunk, intent is irrelevant. Getting in the car drunk is all the intent you need - and quite frankly, should need.
-
Pretty tough ground to debate, but McCormick killed two children while drunk. Are people honestly saying that what Johnson has done is worse than killing two children? Honestly? I'm not defending what Johnson has done (which I hope goes without saying)m but come on. Quite frankly if you've killed someone or sexually abused someone, I would hope that no club would even think about offering you a contract.

Wasn't there a 10 page discussion just the other day about players moving to China purely for money? Managers are absolutely no different. Offer a good manager enough and he will come.
-
What's ridiculous in keeping McClaren is that even if he keeps us up.. Does anyone think it's going to be any different next season?
-
Think we need a few new options to vote on.

I just don't know how you can give those - he literally ran into Monreal and got a penalty.
-
Absolutely not a penalty.

We seem to have a unique ability to never have enough (or any) men in the box or passing options when we attack, yet never have enough men in defence when we inevitably lose the ball. That's what having the best coach in England gets you.

In fairness, there have been quite a few wingers who have been converted to full backs so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Aarons could move there. I suppose as a general point as well, I don't think it should be beyond a professional footballer to be able to play in a different position and not look out of place - especially given that left wing to left back is hardly the biggest change. We aren't exactly asking him to play centre half. Having said all that - ridiculous decision to play him at left back away from home at Chelsea.
-
Throw enough money at anyone (as shown by players moving to China) and those type of managers would come.
-
You get someone as good as Garcia or Sampaoli in and we would stay up. Our squad, whilst flawed in many ways, is strong enough to stay up relatively comfortably if you had a good manager.
-
If you paid decent money (ie proper premier league salaries), I reckon you'd have a decent chance with most of them. If we were prepared to pay a big salary, we could probably get any of them.
-
Took me about 30 seconds to think of this lot. There will be a huge amount more that I haven't listed.

There are loads of managers who are far better than McClaren who are unemployed. Absolutely loads.
