  1. Think we need a few new options to vote on.
  2. I just don't know how you can give those - he literally ran into Monreal and got a penalty.

    Steve McClaren

We seem to have a unique ability to never have enough (or any) men in the box or passing options when we attack, yet never have enough men in defence when we inevitably lose the ball. That's what having the best coach in England gets you.

    Rolando Aarons

In fairness, there have been quite a few wingers who have been converted to full backs so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Aarons could move there. I suppose as a general point as well, I don't think it should be beyond a professional footballer to be able to play in a different position and not look out of place - especially given that left wing to left back is hardly the biggest change. We aren't exactly asking him to play centre half. Having said all that - ridiculous decision to play him at left back away from home at Chelsea.

Throw enough money at anyone (as shown by players moving to China) and those type of managers would come.

You get someone as good as Garcia or Sampaoli in and we would stay up. Our squad, whilst flawed in many ways, is strong enough to stay up relatively comfortably if you had a good manager.

If you paid decent money (ie proper premier league salaries), I reckon you'd have a decent chance with most of them. If we were prepared to pay a big salary, we could probably get any of them.

Took me about 30 seconds to think of this lot. There will be a huge amount more that I haven't listed.

There are loads of managers who are far better than McClaren who are unemployed. Absolutely loads.
  10. Frustrating seeing this guy blame everyone else around him - even does it when he messes up.

    Steve McClaren

I know he'd never appoint them, but when you think you've got managers of the quality of Benitez, Bielsa, Sampaoli, Rudi Garcia, Favre (even Moyes, Pearson or Rodgers) available..

Sack him now and get a proper manager in. Not this moron.
  13. My god - can't believe I even said that we should think about giving him a pay as you play. Fucking terrible.
  14. Gudjohnsen is one of those guys who I always thought had scored more goals than he actually has. I know he was never in the team for his out and out scoring but his career stats are 156 goals in 614 games (admittedly 106 goals in 367 matches in England and 78 goals in 261 matches for Chelsea).

    Peter Beardsley

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that formulation of words that often before. Almost tempted to listen to it again to see how many times he does it. Just to clarify - I'm not saying this in a nasty way.

    Peter Beardsley

Thought that podcast was quite a good listen - but did anyone notice how often Beardsley said (even if it didn't make any sense) something like 'not in a nasty way' or 'not in a selfish way'. He's done it again in an interview about Doumbia.
  17. Was watching MLS highlights the other night and when Robbie Keane scores the LA Galaxy PA guy shouts "RRRRRRRRRROBBIE" followed by the crowd shouting "KEANE". It's absolutely amazing. Howay, it's f***ing pathetic It's class man, I couldn't stop rewinding it. Completely batshit mental, and there's no place for it anywhere else on planet Earth, but it's the MLS, the have a guy who saws trees on the touchline. It's awful. Along with goal music, it just isn't on. Only seems to sound right when clubs in Europe do it. Like the Napoli guy, just shouting "GONZALO" over and over again Arsenal did it for a season or two, it was absolutely brutal. Agreed - it's one of those things that only works in Europe. Sounds terrible over here.
  18. Would be tempted to give him some sort of pay as you play deal in the summer.
  19. I'll be fascinated to see how he gets on when he's had time to build his team. I think people are possibly cutting him too much slack regarding the strength of the Liverpool squad. In my opinion, he is underachieving with the squad they have. He obviously did a great job with Dortmund, but I wonder if his style of play (as shown by his last season at Dortmund) is a bit stale and he lacks a plan b. I mean - Tuchel has gone into Dortmund and improved them hugely (which he also did at Mainz after Klopp left).
  20. When he's playing like this, he is absolutely worth hanging onto.
  21. Isn't Dann their top scorer this season?
