  1. Are there any Eddie Howe type managers in the lower leagues? The only one I've seen a lot about is Paul Tisdale, but that's surely too big a jump.
  2. I know a few that still think he was a worthless piece of s***. Fuck me - I suppose there's no telling some people.
  3. I woke up this morning and forgot we'd lost. Then it hit.

    Papiss Cissé

I don't think he was going to outpace the defender so I don't think it was necessarily the wrong choice.
  5. Surely there can't be any fans now who I actually think we should got rid of this guy? We wouldn't be close to where we are now in the league if we still had him, even with our gutless squad.
  6. Can't understand some of his decisions on the ball - plays some absolutely ridiculous passes at times.
  7. Might as well start with the team that finished and just go for it. To have any chance of surviving, we need to get an absolute minimum of 3 wins, but more likely 4.
  8. Couldn't see from where I was - but was there a handball during their last goal? I thought there was.
  9. Haven't seen enough of him at Forest, but as far as I was aware, he was always regarded as being a pretty good keeper at Championship level. Absolutely no reason to believe he is going to be materially worse than Elliot, who up until recently, was an absolutely dreadful keeper.
  10. Did a bit of a wiki search on Hancock and Wullie is correct - looks like he had a break from it all and then went to work as a mortgage broker. Since then he appears to have done a few tv series, but nothing of any real significance. I wonder if he'd have taken a break if he'd known that his career would basically be over as a result.
  11. I always preferred They Think It's All Over Laughed so hard at this particular show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QL_qYxTUdjQ Classic Wonder if they could still get away with the feel the sportsman round? I remember one where Rory Mcgrath was pretending to shag some young lass on a bobsleigh Weird to think that Nick Hancock and Lee Hurst pretty much disappeared from TV - always wonder what guys like that do. Do they just get 'normal' jobs?
  12. He's made some decent saves, but then every PL keeper is capable of making some saves that look good. He's still made a fair few errors in my opinion, so I don't think this is quite the loss it is being made out to be.

I think the fact that their penalty came straight after the penalty appeal we should have had made it all the worse, given its debatable nature.

Really hope that's true. So glad that run has ended. Gabbiadini was saying on Total Sport one night that if they got the 7th win, that would be a record that would probably never be broken. That was in response to Howey saying the other 6 wins were in the past, and Marco arguing that they were still relevant until the run was stopped. Lets see if he tries to spin it another way tomorrow. The whole 6 in a row thing is somewhat flawed anyway, given that there are quite a few seasons where we have been in the top 6 in the Premiership and they've been in the division below (93-94, 94-95, 95-96, 03-04) - I think you'd back the NUFC teams of those years to get a fair few victories.
  15. Yep - the fact he is genuinely two footed makes a big difference.
  16. Hadn't realised how much Pardew loved DNA. Can't get enough of it, it would seem.
  17. Improved a lot in the second half when he got the ball in a bit of space.
  18. On the replay it looked like the shot was very close to him and it wasn't hit that hard - but maybe being a bit unfair. Just looked like one that in slow motion looked saveable.
  19. Agreed- thought he should have done better with that.
  20. Love the fact he actually makes subs that you can tell he has thought about and make a difference.
  21. His suspension is the biggest positive to come out of this.
  22. Shelvey seems to have fallen into our trap of not moving the ball quickly enough.
  23. Easily deserved a point - not sure how that can be questioned tbh.
  24. People do seem to be painting Defoe as some sort of latter day Van Basten who is bound to score (probably will now I've said this). Of his 11 league goals, 6 were against Swansea and Villa.
