I agree with this. Came over for my first game against coventry and was amazed at how poor Carroll is on the ground in open play. But as a striker he gets into the positions and is scoring regularly. So at home great but on the road with one up front I don't think he's the best option. Hes saved our ass away from home more than one occassion, Lovenkrands cant play lone striker.

I didn't see him last night. I did see him a few weeks back against Palace though. Well, hes not doing much wrong at the moment, which is why the media have left him alone for now I guess.

Visited the Toon twice, had tried out all different stands at SJP except for the East Stand, if your looking for a great view of the pitch overall, try Bar 1892, tickets cost 40 quid when I went, I tried the Gallowgate and Leazes as well, I prefer the Leazes end really. If you like to sing and chant, Id advise against the Bar 1892 area. Check out the city center and Eldon Square, Durham too while your at it, take a club tour, it was alright really.

Its all about recent form, not form over a season for me, Unless we have a really prolific striker who is consistently scoring over the length of this season, which we dont, because all of our strikers this season had a run of good scoring form, and shite patches of form, which is the main reason we dont have an established 2 striker partnership week in week out, you can never tell who is going to start in terms of strikers this season.
