Is there not an established channel in the UK that could produce Premier League games? Seems like BT came out of nowhere for such a big competition to have.
Like I said, it's the World Cup I enjoy watching in bright, warm weather. It being in summer just adds to the spectacle. If I were playing I'd much rather it be cool than warm.
Newcastle 1-3 Liverpool
Arsenal 4-0 Norwich
Chelsea 2-0 Cardiff City
Everton 2-1 Hull City
Man Utd 1-0 Southampton
Stoke City 1-1 West Brom
Swansea 2-1 Sunderland
West Ham 0-1 Man City
Aston Villa 0-2 Tottenham
Crystal Palace 2-2 Fulham
I definitely wanted Uruguay to win, so was glad to see it had happened (had to miss that game for some reason). Don't blame him at all either, one of my teammates did it in a deciding game a few years earlier and it worked, definitely worth it.
Mostly I didn't want to see Ghana go through because it could've been us. But yeah, a (one-sided) rivalry has been created.
Honestly though, how many places are actually cold during the time the World Cup runs? Australia is still relatively warm, as is South America. Most places in the Southern Hemisphere are still warm and sunny during their winters, so there's never going to be much variation.
