  1. Reece James got absolutely rinsed 8-0 Wonder how they chose these players. Should have had every team have their own mini-tournament on YouTube to select their representative
  2. Pretty sure every citizen of Yemen is a massive lads fan, I'm sure they'll send a letter soon.
  3. Every post I see of Penn's is absurdly negative and he's offline minutes after posting it.
  4. The legal fallout from them turning down the takeover for this would be insane. There's so much we've heard so far that goes against this having any sort of impact. I just can't see it happening.
  5. It's probably the most worrying thing we've seen in the last week just because it's one of the largest official broadcast partners saying it, but it feels way too late in the game for it matter. It's surely already been considered by all sides, too, so I don't think it being an issue.

That was the first time I've ever watched Soccer Saturday. Never going to watch it again because nothing will ever top it.
  7. The Athletic just released their podcast, too. Only about 10 minutes into it right now https://theathletic.com/podcast/147-pod-on-the-tyne/?episode=22

Thought it was okay until it the final panel. Asking people to stop following a club that's been engrained in their life and family for years because of something they have no control over is over the top. Even Amnesty International is simply asking fans to educate themselves and not defend KSA, which is pretty fair. Also the panel with Albert's volley is facing the wrong way
  9. Wonder how far along this would be without coronavirus. Without it I'd be landing in the UK tomorrow morning and maybe this media blitz Caulkin wrote about in his article today. Would be immense. Just going to believe it wouldn't be happening without a pandemic
  10. I need one article per day like this until its announced to calm my nerves that it won't happen
  11. https://uk.foco.com/products/newcastle-united-fc-st-james-park-brxlz-stadium No clue about this site mind Been trying to get one for a while but brxls doesn't offer it in the US. The 3D puzzle of SJP is fun to build, looks like it might be out of stock though
  12. I went to the LFC one last year on a non-match day. It was fucking packed with a line to pay that took about 20 minutes even though they had 10+ registers open. Compare to the one time i've been in our club shop and seeing some generic shit with a badge on it, just really sad.
  13. The Times saying the same... https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/saudis-clinch-300m-newcastle-buyout-6sgzg6rpd It's actually happening
  14. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/apr/19/newcastle-united-seven-priorities-for-the-potential-new-owners Louise saying a DoF has already been selected

Yeah that thread got really boring really quickly
  16. This isn't really new, but I noticed NBC News did their own reporting on this, which is pretty rare for a major US news outlet talking about Newcastle. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/rights-record-questioned-saudi-takeover-epl-s-newcastle-united-edges-n1185976 First time I've seen an official spokesperson say anything, it's always just been "sources." Not that it means much, but encouraging they're willing to put some sort of official comment out there.
  17. I'm almost certain their reaction and all of #nufc's reaction is based on one bullet point in that Daily Mail article. So stiupid
  18. Just wrestling, I think. Either way, sports with fans here will have to start again based on the league and not Trump or the individual states, even if some states are doing better than others. I don't see any of the major leagues here will allow fans until a vaccine is available/the CDC says it's safe
  19. Sorry, thought that was a widely used thing, might just be because I'm American. Pup ops is just the uploading and publishing of articles. Usually someone doing it would be in charge of writing subheaders like that
  20. What does this mean? Martin Samuel's article only metiomed a deal not being agreed in a bullet point under the header, which would've been written by someone uploading the article, basically not Samuel. They've deleted it now because it's not true
  21. The DM deleted that bullet point about a deal not being agreed. Someone in pub-ops fucked up
  22. If any outlet or reporter had news that a deal wasn't agreed, they'd write an actual article about it and not just what is essentially a section in an opinion piece
  23. Wouldn't be overly concerned yet. It's one person, and Samuel of all people, against dozens saying the opposite. He says there's only one source, but most outlets have mentioned multiple sources close to the deal. We've been here before, so it could obviously be true, but we'll see
  24. No doubt he was going to finish the season, he'll be gone after that
  25. Moving from the city center would be diabolical. I'm sure growing up there or attending a lot of matches you might take it for granted, but part of the club's charm is SJP's location. Thinking about the prematch before the Liverpool match last year, the streets and pubs were absolutely rammed with people. LFEE, I and a few others grabbed dinner after going to a pub, then took a 5-10 minute walk to the match. That doesn't happen in a lot of places. It's fucking magical.
