We had him for 5 years and theres no way he's been an awful player for that whole time. Last couple of years he's been poor to average but only a handful of games he's been 'awful'. When we signed him he was very highly rated across the globe. Both Messi and Maradona have publicly stated their appreciation of him in the past. Robert also had plenty of awful games for arguments sake..

I think he's the polar opposite of Simpson. This guy seems to be all over the place with positional sense and is always diving into the tackles whereas Simpson would be in the right place but just back off, back off, and back off some more. Somewhere in the middle would be great

I often wonder what impartial fans of other clubs think of Shola. my uni friends think he's hilarious. Regularly get 'wor shola' jibes. I still love him though, just would rather he moved on and made space for someone else now.

If any of our many managers he's had wanted rid of him, he'd be gone. He's always been decent backup, up until last year.
