  1. Don't mind Ronaldo, he gets a fetish for a player and does not let go. His dream team would consist of the likes of Best, Beckford and Routledge with Gosling supplying the goals from midfield.
  2. What is this I don't even... Listen man, if you refer to a record, I presume you know what it is you are referring to. Evidently this is not the case.
  3. Well I don't know, you were the one that referred to his record- I presumed you knew what you were referring to.
  4. 75 (9) 1 goal every 8.3 games. I'm not convinced that constitutes "very different". Decent I suppose, but the jury is still out.

Ian man as I've said many times it's not solely the style of football. It was the fact that our players were not suited to the style of football, a very basic element in management I'd imagine is playing to your players strengths. Please stop this notion that people have some sort of Barca-like ideology and are upset that it's not being implemented It's simple not the case, not for anyone on this board as far as I can tell. I never once complained about a long ball under Hughton as he set us up perfectly, reflecting the players we had at the time.

Things like that rarely come off if you know what I mean

I was a staunch supporter of Pardew up until around Christmas. I have always said that if he gives me signs that he will change things , just give me positive signs about his mentality, I would be all over them. Yesterday he done that, for me there was a clear(and unexpected, there was nothing objective to suggest it, sticking your head in the sand and blind faith doesn't change that) change in his mentality to a decent degree. Having been shown be these positive signs I will give him plenty of time to implement them again and hopefully build on them. If we play s*** at Liverpool, but with the same positive mentality, he will certainly be excused by me, Colos absence is huge . Additionally: if anything my feelings now rather that before are knee-jerk, thats part and parcel of being a fan though, you want your team to succeed, contrary to what some have implied. I'll ask too, were any of the thinly veiled, or obvious " I was right and you were wrongs" aimed at me? If so please state accurately what you were right about and what I was wrong about. Because I called for more play on the ground, more playing out from the back, and specifically the formation we played yesterday. If indeed any of those remarks were aimed at me, it would seem that they are simply crazy. If anything it should be me saying those things, but it's not my nature.
  9. With the right players, Ba can play on the left of a 3 away from home, but at home we could go like this (the 4-3-1-2, MoleToonfan suggested I think): Ba Cisse Benarfa NEW Tiote Cabaye New Colo Taylor Santon Krul Obviously the new players are very important here, the midfilders and fullbacks have to collectivley provide width when needed, actually It's very similar to how Keegan played us for that great run. Just need to bring back Butt, Geremi and Barton... sorted

I agree but I think his acceleration was there for all to see at Blackburn in the cup some time ago.
  11. What Ronaldo said is spot on, defending high up and hoping Tiote has a cracker is our best hope of marginalizing Colos absence.

What a wretched scum-hole man. "Here's my chance to be racist and I can claim I wasn't easily "
  14. Looking at the bigger picture playing well is more important. You can progress from there, while non- performances for a sustained period of time indicate major failings that are more difficult to address. IMO. There will be no 'bigger picture' if a manager can't pick up any points, irrelevant of whether they're playing like Brasil. Thanks Captain Obvious.

Since the other side of the debate asks stupid hypothetical questions, I'm going to indulge in one: If we got a new owner (a good one, on a par with someone like Short), would anyone want Pardew to continue as manager next season?

No need for that HTT you made some very good points. Both 'sides' are using hyperbole and sarcasm though, and only one is being lambasted for it.

Well Jayson I answered your question. Now, did you have a point or was I wasting my time?
