Well I think he did, for a good period certainly. But it appears as though Pardew has amended that, and even personally added a degree of workrate/concentration to Ben Arfa's game. Ben Arfa should get good credit for his maturity in handling the situation, and Pardew some too. I don't like to dwell on it though personally, as it irked me for some time and I'm glad to see it (the issue) resolved.

Dunno man. I'm sure from his point of view, however, there is no point whatsoever in dwelling on it, it's in the past now and he's in the team.

Spent his entire career at PSV until he made 17 league appearances for Barcelona scoring 1 goal. If, as seems likely, he is deemed surplus to requirements by Barcelona I don't see why you deem him entirely unrealistic.

O'Neill has huge and undeniable faults, and I'm not at all convinced than Short will keep any of them in check, and that it won't end in tears. I can see why Sunderland fans are 100% behind him though, he is the best manager they could possibly get .
