A bit disapointed both De Jong and Mitrovic doesn't start. Wanted at least 1 of them to start and if it was Cisse getting the nod up front, hope Mitro alongside him or De Jong supporting him would have suited us. Quite sick of Gini on away days.

It's good that Tiote is back. Hope he can pick up where he left off because I remember he was at his best the last time he played. I think it should be Mitrovic-Cisse upfront instead of De Jong supporting one of them. We need goals and to have the best chance of that, we need two upfront even if 1 of them has been misfiring. Ideally, all three should play upfront but don't know who to take out.

Said it before, if the mackems were any other team, we would have done better or maybe even win after the improvement and momentum gained from the Leicester game. But because it was them, 6 defeats in a row, Norwich pulling clear, new manager, 50,000 expectant Geordies, the players just shit themselves until the 2nd half. Hope the 2 week break has helped Rafa settled the lads, and we can get a belated manager bounce. We're due some luck. Not expecting another 6-2 win though.

We really need Mbabu at LB. If he's there, at least we get to avoid Fistpumps in the side unless like some have said, he plays RB. If Mbabu can play, get Townsend on the left again. Both are direct, attacking and pacey. Will be a good combo with Mbabu making overlapping runs.

Where's the abuse? He's not ready to lead the line for a relegation-candidate club. The absolute opposite of what we need. We need experience and a proven track record, and Defoe was that player. And we won't get that player now will we? so get behind the lads that we do have especially this one who actually gives a f*** to the fans and the club.

Just hoping Rafa can do a miracle. I was thinking the other day that the derby wasn't the right time for us. We had a new manager, playing at home, 50,000 expectant Geordies, the pressure of 6 derby defeats in a row and the mackems turning up all cocky, it was an easy situation for the players to go back into their shells. Had we played another opponent after the decent showing against Leicester and without the 'derby' pressure, it might have given us a better chance. With the derby, all form went out the window and we just turned up like our usual self for the match. I'm hoping with that out of the way now, the manager 'bounce' would be more effective starting with the Norwich match and especially with the lift we got after that equaliser. Gonna be tough but it's not over yet.
