Brilliant today. Absolutely loved watching the lad put all his effort in. The part of his game that I've been impressed with the most is whenever the ball comes to him out of defence, for such a big lad, he not only holds up play well but can then pass or flick the ball out wide or through the center and we're suddenly in a dangerous attacking position. We haven't had such a striker since Shearer. On another day, one of his shots would have gone in and he would probably be a strong contender for MOTM.

It's funny what having a shot at goal from the edge of the penalty box can do. So many times our players seem so reluctant to have a shot at goal from a decent position and distance this season. They would rather pass it sideways to the player out wide to cross the ball in yet the cross would be miserable. Dummet hit that and luckily it hits Smalling and goes in. Hope they aren't afraid to shoot especially since Jonjo will take that job from Tiote.

He's been in the right place the past few games but it just wouldn't go his way. Glad that he didn't shy away from the penalty. That atleast shows he's still a striker that has confidence. Really feel he just needs a decent partner upfront and his game will raise another notch. Ayoze has tried but a partner who knows where to be when this lad wins the headers or holds the ball up or a partner who can provide good link up play can help him put more chances away.
