Was a bit relieved reading Carroll went off injured early so that's probably him out on Saturday. But in the second half, Payet turned it around and I instantly remembered how he tore us a new one earlier this season. Need him to get in a training ground bust up with Carroll and knocked out until Saturday 5pm then.

It's funny what having a shot at goal from the edge of the penalty box can do. So many times our players seem so reluctant to have a shot at goal from a decent position and distance this season. They would rather pass it sideways to the player out wide to cross the ball in yet the cross would be miserable. Dummet hit that and luckily it hits Smalling and goes in. Hope they aren't afraid to shoot especially since Jonjo will take that job from Tiote.

He's been in the right place the past few games but it just wouldn't go his way. Glad that he didn't shy away from the penalty. That atleast shows he's still a striker that has confidence. Really feel he just needs a decent partner upfront and his game will raise another notch. Ayoze has tried but a partner who knows where to be when this lad wins the headers or holds the ball up or a partner who can provide good link up play can help him put more chances away.

So if the development behind Gallowgate gets the go-ahead, SJP will remain as it is for the forseable future? I always loved seeing it being re-developed during the season.
