In all our defeats this season, we have never ever looked like we could claw ourselves back into the game and draw it, let alone win.
-
Really don't know how we can raise our game for the upcoming games. We had bad patches under Howe last season but this one looks like a very bad rot.
-
Worst performance under Howe this.
-
7 home wins in a row and then this performance.
-
Staggering that all loose balls have fallen nicely for oppositionn and we just can't any luck at all getting near them at all.
-
This has been the case for us these past few games. Nothing coming off for us, everything falling nicely for the opposition. We look so lethargic. Get the chequebook next week. We need bodies in.
-
I say it again. Who was it that said this in the pre-match thread?
-
Who was it that said Wood would get a hattrick today?

For some reason, I have flash images of Robert wearing that. Probably because of his grey underwear though.

What was our last 12.30pm home game? Honestly can't remember us playing this early at home for a while. Hopefully won't be a Christmas hangover for both players and fans.
-
It was just like that Dortmund home game. Everything did't fall for us nicely but did for them.
-
The gap between our players and theirs is absolutely woeful. So much space for them.

Tripps to score a screamer from a free kick today.
-
Does he need the captain's armband back to get his head focussed again? Yeah I know he has played well even without it but I see a more confident Tripps when he has that responsibility on him. When Jamaal is the captain, Tripps is also vocal leading the team too but perhaps his own game has been affected by not being on his toes most of the time when he isn't the captain? Just my perspective.

Beaten by out of form Bristol City after beating Leeds midweek. Wankers.
-
Already better than Anderson.

We talk about Bruno. That's the Bruno we know. Best Bruno in the league.
-
Only if he is 100%. Please don't rush him back unnecessarily

We have bee so used to Pope's quality that Dubs seems bad now without even being even at Elliot or Darlow's level. -
Sad but not gutted. Think we have had our time, and that taste of CL football and wanting it again should spur the players on in the new year thus getting better performances and results in thr league. Had we stayed in Europe, there would have been a high chance we would drop further down the league table from March onwards trying to juggle Europe and domestic competitions. If we can beat Chelsea in thr Carabao cup, then we have a 2 legged semi to look forward to. Ofcourse the derby is also important but I'm just probably more glad that we won't have too many games after Christmas and we'll have a proper crack at going for the top 4 again with fresher and fitter players hopefully. The injuries have just been horrendous so that should clear up better now.

Gutted Pope is out for the upcoming fixtures but glad we still have an able keeper in Dubravka and even Karius. Would have been less confident if it was Darlow.

Just saw someone say this tie is the Steve Bruce Classico. This is after I saw someone say the match on Saturday was the Steve Bruce Derby. What utter planks we have in our fanbase to still want to be associated with that utter gobshite when we have an absolute legend managing us right now.
-
Want us to bury these by half time. And take the absolute piss in the 2nd half by bringing on the likes of Ritchie and Dummett and still beat them 2nd half. Or lets just bring in some new players before the tie and let them.grab fheir debut goals in the 2nd half.
-
Would anyone swap dropping out of Europe altogether for another all out attempt to finish in top 4 again? Or better yet, winning the League Cup and qualify for Europe through that? I have enjoyed our ride thus far and i won't be dissapointed whatever happens. Simply put, we maybe would have (maybe still can) go much further in this competition had it not been for this incredible injury crisis hitting us at the wrong time. If we lose tonight, but win against Milan, I'd be happy with how we have fared. We can try to be here again and I would hope every fan continue to support the team as much as we did last season even if we are out of Europe.

Pissed off. Just remembered I dropped Lascelles for Mitchell this round.
