We had problems in our team and the players we had were not capable of changing things. What we have done is get players who may offer alternatives to what we have but not entirely clear out the problems. I gave a 7 because we got players in. Even without another striker or a Lingard or Alli. Had we got someone better instead of Wood, most of us would probably be happy. Just need to hope Wood proves people wrong and get us goals.

They basically gave up after seeing other teams' games in hand when in past season, they had the games in hand. Defoe as a player will still get goals for them. That league is pure shit. To be honest, if it's only one addition, it would be a failure to address a pressing problem in our team, that is the CB position. What we have now is not good enough, but surely even if we can get the best players right now like Botman and Carlos, it'd be criminal not to get anyone that is better than what we currently have. Surely, a loan or even a permanent deal can be done for someone better than Ciaran Clark or Lascelles. If the @Ando7 surprise is Dembele, I won't say I'd be really excited based on his horrendous injury record at Barca. If he suddenly turns out vital and plays a pivotal role in our team like the influence Yaya Toure had at City, then it's well worth it but it's a big gamble. Dreaming of Muller if it could ever happen.

That big surprise, PIF would probably love a big name, well-known around the world. Sell shirts, big statement, Robinho deadline day type signing. In comes Gareth Bale.

How likely are Atalanta willing to let Zapata go? I don't want to be invested and excited there's a possibility only for Atalanta to do a Sevilla or Lille.

I feel Tarkowski is a bit like Lascelles. A good player that has probably lost his way and form. Been a bit stagnant staying too long at one club.
