This game is utter pap.
-
He was like, especially in the second half, and we looked better when Kelly came on.
-
You forget about him over the summer, and then the first game of the season you get a shiver down the spine as you here his voice. The way he thinks he's reading from a Shakespearian script and how at the end of every sentence he really enounces the start of the last word. Like just then he goes Mbuemo does some bog standard defensive work and be goes "Mbuemo tidies up DUTI-fully"
-
That third kit today btw
-
He'll have one quiet/ poor game and it'll resurface
-
Drury is proper wanting a Liverpool demolition here like
-
I mean that helped, but Hall came on 10 minutes after Trippier, and the attacking impetuous was already noticeable down that right side.
-
Reckon it'll be something like this:
-
Jeez people are harsh on here, he wasn't amazing by any stretch, but he wasn't particularly poor, he was very "Meh". Its his first game, and looks defensively solid, if a bit unimaginative going forward, him and Hall will be a horses for courses thing, in fact we've already seen it to be honest. Last week at home against a team we're fancied against, we start Hall to offer an extra attacking dimension, then when we need to be defensively solid and are backs to the wall, Kelly comes on and he shores us up, and does a good job. Today, we are away against a dangerous team that has pace, and Kelly starts as he's quicker, and can offer extra protection, then when we are behind, Hall comes on and offers that extra attacking threat. Its all about the situation and the game state, and having two full backs that have different strengths is a good thing.

Sounds like Howe says every time he's been asked about Transfers for the last 3 years tbh
-
Was very noticeable how much more fluid our attacking play was when Trippier was on the pitch and how much better we where in possession, he loves to Overlap where as Tino likes to come inside, adds a completely different dimension to our play, and as much as I love Tino, and think he's going to be a great player, Trips still needs to be number one starting right back imo.
-
Already 3 points up on our points haul from last season against the same opposition.
-
Can we please no sell him, I know PSR blah blah blah, but he adds so much to the way we play.
-
First 20 and last 20 we where the better side, the bit in the middle was where we were ropey, but looked decent enough defensively (Until Joelinton made his mistake anyway), we also had 2/3 clear cut chances, as they had a couple of good chances. Draw is fair imo.
-
We did like, Neto made like 2/3 really good saves in that second half.
-
Good point that, and a draw was a fair reflection of the overall game. We have a good 20 minutes at the start, then a poor 40 minutes either side of half time, and then the subs made an impact and we ironically looked the more likely to score going into extra time. Bournemouth are a decent team, so you take that. We really need to learn how to retain possession when we're under pressure, as too often we pump it long, and the opposition come back at us. I actually think the disallowed goal was very harsh, would be livid if that wasn't given against us, and Joelinton is very lucky to have not seen red at the end. So overall, decent point and result, and stuff to work on. 4 points from your opening 2 games, you take it.

They're a massive investment fund, they're not going to prioritise one over another, and will give each the attention they think it deserves at a given time. Another article that paints needless negativity against Newcastle for literally Jo reason. These are starting to add up. Almost like theirs agenda.
-
First competitive outing of the third kit tomorrow? Or do we think it'll be the home kit?
-
Isak, Gordon and Barnes with Tonali and Bruno feeding them balls Vs Spurs high line...
-
It's a very basic metric but win your home game and draw your away = 76 points. Which is enough to get you Champions League. While I wouldn't be ecstatic with a point, it wouldn't be a disaster. That said, we need to win this game, mainly as our away from was so poor last season that getting a good start would set a precedent.

No one does a recovery save better then Karl Darlow imo.
