I can see why Neave has a bit of hype around him, he looks a cut above everyone else of our lot, been several times he's carried the ball forward to beat a defender to get a shot off. He just danced round three Barca midfielders on the halfway line, before charging on goal and laying it off to someone to score, albeit that player was offside.

I've had it on in the background while working, so not paying 100% attention, but from what i've seen Barca have been noticeably quicker and have had most of the ball and chances. In terms of players, its a mix of players I recognize and don't. The main two are Shahar and Neave, they have both made the first team bench before. Shahar actually just scored a lovely free-kick to make it 3-1.

3-0 down. As expected, Barcelona's youth are on a different level to us.

Apparently there is a legitimate reason for it. In the National League Cup, there is a rule that the National League sides need to start 4 players that had started the previous league game, I'm guessing to stop clubs just fully playing the kids and essentially have Fulhams U21's Vs Forest Greens U21's, but there is no rule to say how many minutes them 4 players have to play, and Forest Green wanted to rest their whole first 11, so just subbed them off after a minute.

The early Champions League games today are Europa League-tastic. Love it.
