  1. What an utter passive and insipid display from Arsenal. They had nothing.
  2. That would have been one of the goals of the season.
  3. This game has been a bit a shit, PSG haven't really been at their flowing best, but seem to just be content trying to kill the game off, where as Arsenal are just Arsenaling this game up. While the ref has been very trigger happy, so its felt very stop start, with no flow to it.
  4. I've never really thought about it, but the way Arsenal do them deep free-kicks is actually really idiotic, by starting offside and then running into position it just allows the defense to step up a bit, or the free-kick taker to be slightly too early, and you have a goal disallowed. You have specialized coaches and the best he can come up with is something that is fundamentally flawed.
  5. Referee makes the correct gesture to say the PSG won the ball. Mark Clattenburg: "Thats so confusing".
  6. It really annoys me how Arsenal take 25 years to take a free-kick and it never get brought up.
  7. I know they've just conceded, but the crowd sound really flat. All you can hear is the PSG fans.
  8. For a second there I thought we where just going to get Guy Mowbray on his own, the best UK Commentator, commentating on Amazon without any of the dreadful "banter" from the co-comms you get force fed these days. It was a moment of bliss. Than he introduced Shearer. Sigh. Edit: Today I learnt I suck at differentiating voice, it's Jon Champion
  9. Now that Madrid are out, I can go back to wanting Arsenal to get pumped.
  10. I've always wondered what Nike would do if they where ever our kit manufacturer, the way they've been going lately, I don't really want to find out.

I don't think so, I think it was more that it just helped our overall PSR situation and gave us more wiggle room going forward.
  12. All it'll take is this: Villa lose to Fulham Chelsea lose to Liverpool Newcastle beat Brighton Newcastle beat Chelsea. It's not likely, but that set of results is hardly beyond the realms of possibility.
  13. Don't know why everyone is worrying, we're going to smash every team 10-0 and finish 2nd. Easy peezy.
  14. These have conceded at least 2 goals in each of their last 6 Premier League games, including against a Leicester side that hadn't scored in 8 games prior, and haven't scored in the 2 games since.
  15. I doubt it, mainly as I think its been mentioned that a lot of our business will have to be done after July 1st, when we'll be in a decent PSR position.
  16. So it looks like its going to be something like: Celtic (A) - Middle of July Arsenal (N) - Singapore - July 27th Tottenham (N) - South Korea - Late July K-League Side (N) - South Korea - Early August Sela Weekender - 2x Back to Back games - 9th/10th August Very decent and competitive pre-season that.

  19. I was thinking about this, it's been a really competitive season, in that the middle of the field has gotten a load stronger, so their a lot less shit mediocre teams, where any team can beat anyone, with teams like Man City and Arsenal getting beat way more often, which you'd think would make things more dramatic, but it's actually done the opposite as all it's meant is that Liverpool have just had to be consistent week in week out and it's been a cake walk, while teams that come up just can't compete, as their base is so much lower than everyone else, so they're way off it. So despite it being more competitive it's weirdly made the season more dull, and effectively over with 4 games left.
  20. This Liverpool title may be the most "meh" I've experienced. Obviously it'll be class for their fans, but for the general public this feels like it'll be a title win that will be very quickly forgotten.
  21. I can understand why people are complaining about some empty seats in the Man City end, it wouldn't be like that if it where a Newcastle game, but I can kind of understand it. A trip to Wembley isn't an event for them, they've been here so many times recently, that they'll very likely be numb to it, especially when the trophy isn't on the line, it's a semi-final. I'm fairly certain the final will sell out. Add in the fact it's late on a Sunday, people have work tomorrow and trains are likely to be either not running or arrive in Manchester late, and that tickets are £80 a pop, with travel expenses being a similar amount, and that we're in a cost of living crisis, I can understand why some didn't want to make the trip, especially when this isn't the main event. It's the main reason the semi-finals shouldn't be at Wembley.
