  1. How do we reckon this is going to be structured? A weakened team today with a lot of the squad players, with the "first" 11 playing tomorrow? Or do we think it'll be a mix again?

Yeah, I pretty much nothing McClaren, he always seemed like he was giving his absolute best, and that he gave his everything to the role, it just ultimately wasnt good enough. Bruce though continually treated the club and fans with utter contempt and talked down to the fans regularly with a "Holier than thou" attitude.
  3. For someone who was pretty shite Boumsong had a canny career.

Yeap, I appreciate an ice cold Corona/ Coors when you just want something to get a slight buzz, but you want something with a more refined taste/ quality when in a fine establishment.

    Fixtures (2022/23)

Think you're allowed 9 on the bench now, so probably: Dubs; Burn; Krafth; Anderson; Longstaff; Fraser; Murphy; Ritchie; Wood

I think it'll be that too, only change i'd make is Willock for Longstaff.
  7. Season proper starts again tomorrow
  8. Guess we arn't going to be getting backrolled after all: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jul/27/saudis-unveil-eye-popping-plan-for-mirrored-skyscraper-eco-city
  9. Harvey Barns is from Burnley, so fits our current "Burnley" recruitment policy.
  10. Man City did it last season: Here (If i'm reading the statement correctly)
  11. Yes but FFP is looked at over a three year period, and TV revenue is a legitimate form of cashflow. So by using a loan from a bank we can spend the TV money now, which will then be offset by the TV money coming in throughout the season. Owners just putting money into the club would just be equity which wouldn't be able to be offset in any way through a form of revenue stream. Like many other people have said, this is a very common practice across the football landscape, hardly worth talking about.
  12. Especially given the majority of other clubs tend to do this.
  13. So all we've done is bought forward the payments from the Premier League for the upcoming season via a bank loan, so we can use it in the short term. Given we're being told we're bound by FFP, and don't have the revenue streams set up yet. It seems like a completely logical thing to do.
  14. Weren't there recent rule changes to FFP that meant owners couldn't pump money into the club for transfer related activities in the form of a "Loan"? Whereas borrowing from a bank is allowed? May be making that up mind.
