Those two alone will cost way more than half the cost of our first choice eleven ffs.

If I remember correctly, there was a thing here about MoN really not buying much from outside Britain. Seems to be showing with their money moves on domestic footballers.
  4. ---------------Krul Simpson Taylor Coloccini Santon ---Tiote Cabaye Anita/Romain Ben Arfa Jonas ----------------Ba With Tiote, I think we have a chance, as we'd get maximum defensive cover thanks to him, Jonas, and a full-strength defense.
  5. Just glad we now have mini Tiote and Anita to cover Glad that Pards decided to play them for the full 90 minutes less than 48 hours before this match, like. Confident Tiote will play though.
  6. Honestly, the only times I've seen him impress were: - When he was brought on as a sub. - When we play him centrally behind the strikers. I know he's a winger, but for someone with his pace and touch, it's annoying how he can't beat his man at times. I think it's a lack of confidence and determination to get past the hurdles in his way that's been the problem, really. He'd rather dribble his way backwards when blockaded, and it is from this position that he fails to deliver a good cross or he loses out. Because of this, I agree on what people here have been saying about Pards playing him to get his confidence up. However, if it's just the same old story time and time again, surely a change in how to use him would be better? He's not a bad impact sub imo, and he'll be more influential if he has the pace to run past tiring legs. As a second striker, he has the pace and height to worry, and he's got a decent shot. Surely a breather from the wing role and a venture into something that allows him to take people on more efficiently or score more goals would be a better confidence boost.
  7. Ince is likely to be around the 7m mark I reckon. Credit to Swansea in this window, they'll be absolutely fine this season and will no doubt be more penetrating than they were under Todger The atmosphere in the prediction thread didn't seem to be the same before the 5-0 last week.
  8. We could be building for a title challenge if we were given that amount of dough ffs.
  9. Well, I'm from Manila (GMT +8) and BST is 7 hours behind my usual time. So a 6pm BST will be 1:00AM here. I think Cisse would hopefully nick an early goal to grab that away goal and get him back to scoring form. I'd take him off after 45 mins imo if we're winning.
  10. There were rumors way before actually that 12m would be the price we'd get him for eventually, so not surprised this would come up. Never gonna get accepted, although reports of a true bid like this coming in may test his loyalties.
  11. Just went off to everybody's favorite video site and watched "Adam Campbell - The Hat Tricks (Reserves V Spurs 12/13)" Dat pace, finishing and being in the right place in front of goal, man.

    Europa. League. Patches.
  13. Class He'll also be our youngest European debutant ever, replacing Carroll.
  14. So un-Ajax that. They'd normally elevate a young lad or bring in an oldie for a homecoming tbh. Only reason I'd take Poulsen is because he'd be paired with Eriksen like in the national team. Not our problem though.
  15. Sigh, yet another cancer story in football. Hope he makes a good recovery. On a side note, this is the type of topic that should prolly be NWOAT, but the "not worthy" just sounds to harsh tbh.
  16. He's hinted his presence in the squad through Twitter. Hard to care though, I wouldn't be able to contain myself if I got called for my club to play in a competitive European match at 17 tbh.

That WBA game was something special from the whole team, the pace and urgency in our counter attacks was just amazing. First time I saw NUFC last season not hoofing it all game, and trying something more adventurous in the form of the 4-3-3.

Look at how beautiful that home kit is without that f***ing Post-It on the bottom left.

His final month or 2 here were very grim and it was only getting worse. My bad, since we turned down his contract demands. Still, as you said, it was getting grim and he was in a short fuse again (like in the Gervinho incident), and I think the reason for it was the contract he did not get.

Well, the defense as a whole probably has more s*** players than the attack, hence the notion, which I can understand. We've got 2 of the league's best strikers in Ba and Cisse, but that completely overlooks the fact that only Shola is the tested and trusted fallback option or fatigue reprieve for those two. I personally think both need work for different reasons: the defense needs quality, and the attack needs quantity.
