Cheers! Even though he obviously knows his stuff when someone tips a horse than high you're a little skeptical. Imagine my surprise when it paid @31 instead of @17. Went and bought him a nice bottle of whiskey. Least I could do.

$15 on Russia -1, Crawley Town and Switzerland. Returns $120.

Whats the horse? It's rising in price, and it was already very high, which is a bad thing. I fully expect it to lose, but why not have a pop. Australia racing. Rosehill racecourse. Race 6. Horse is called Foreteller. IT WON. I thought I bet it at a fixed price of 17/1. It came first at 31/1 and they paid out of those odds. I am ecstatic.

Wales won me a good amount tonight. Just shy of $100 so far. I got a tip for a horse off a guy in work as well (he's old and owns horses, so I listened). I've put the horse to win and Wales to win in a double, and the horse to place and Wales DNB in another double. If that horse wins, drinks on me.

Class. Robbing that.

Carrick is class like but he's so bad in centre back. He's played there about 10 times for us and been terrible about 9 of those times. For what it's worth I think he's the best midfielder England have bar Wilshere. Carrick is probably in better form, currently.

Who?! I'm not. I don't really despise him either. He was signed for nowt on a pay as you play deal and scored one of the most memorable goals in the Premier League for me. A few important equalisers. Hat trick in Europe. Scored in Carling Cup final (then pulled his hammy). He didn't do too bad for us. Like I said before though, I had no emotion at all in regards to his retirement. Wouldn't say love but he worked his arse off for the team, scored a few crackers and didn't complain when Fergie tried to retrain him as an anchorman. Had a horrific injury and worked hard to come back from it and once he did he was asked to be a forward again. I was delighted for him when he scored that goal against Roma in the CL. He deserved it. We are very appreciative of Smiths' efforts as a Manchester United player. They're Irish, though, mate. Don't think it counts.

Just seen that on Paddy Power's Facebook and came in to post it. Was in stitches.

Was a cracking player in his earlier years to be fair to him. Scored a goal for us that will never leave my memory. No emotion at all for his retirement though.

Can only say that the team was completely rattled and felt hard done by from the red. It was extremely disappointing that we just capitulated after the sending off and then any fight we did show was far too late.
-
Maybe €92 million if that's including what they'll pay him in his wages as well. That would be a quite ludicrous transfer fee.

You do your bets in a local TAB or do you use an online site?

They weren't the better side in Madrid man, have a word with yoursen. We had a solid plan in Madrid and executed it well. I think we looked a lot more dangerous going forward and got a lot of chances on the counter. Obviously they had a lot more of the ball but that's to be expected. Coming back from the Bernabeu with a score draw was a great result. It was a very close tie, and an extremely enjoyable one I'm sure. The red made it disappointing for our fans but I'm sure you took great pleasure in that moment.

Played for Birmingham not Wigan. Floundering at Lazio last time I looked. Aye just had a quick look at his wiki. 20m Euros he went to Lazio for.
-
Nope, Birmingham.
-
Zarate is another one who impressed at Wigan and was being labelled as the next big thing, wasn't he?

Have to disagree. Fergie won the tactical battle over the two legs and it was the red card that cost us the game. 11 vs. 11 and we were in control. This exit was due to a refereeing error. The time we went out against Bayern Munich was also due to a red card, but it was deserved. Rafael picked up two needless bookings, however if he was on the pitch he'd have been standing on the post for the winning goal. Also disagree about Rooney. Every team in the World would want him in my opinion.

Journalists need something to write about. Ridiculous speculation. Keeps them in a job I guess.

Just imagining the dream scenario where Ronaldo didn't extend his contract and came to us on a free. That would be quite something.

financial ? We're not in financial trouble though. Yes we have the debt, but when the Glazers bought the club the debt stood at £660 million, and it's down to £350 million. We've knocked off £290 million of debt in 7 years. It's only a matter of time before it's gone completely. We don't need to sell and the Glazers will continue to finance us. if he can get big money for a player he thinks is maybe about to become surplus (and recycle the wages aswell) or at least not the guaranteed starter then why not do it ? rooney hasn't looked the player he was for a while (IMO), I wonder what those who watch him day to day think ? I couldn't disagree more with the latter. I've seen every game for the last 10 years and it's incredibly important what he brings to the table. Yes, Fergie has coached the flair out of him, he's not as exciting as he once was, but he's a better player for it. Fergie replaced the flair with incredible work ethic. He's the ultimate team player with world class ability. There are no technical weaknesses to his game, he's a genius. how do you coach the flair out of someone ? surely you input the ethic while utilising the flair, it's not one or the other but getting both as one (almost buddhist innit). as an outsider looking in, rooney has done a job but that role (new role in the scheme of things perhaps) could be better done by someone else. again looking from the outside m,aybe ferguson and rooney have lost patience with each other ? He just doesn't have the same burst that he used to. I think Fergie has restricted him a little, but the defensive work installed in him has more than made up for it. I honestly don't believe there's any rift between the two. Fergie made a tactical decision which proved to be the right one against Madrid. We were in control until the red card. If Rooney leaves I'll be shocked.
