We weren't far away from that, and our starting point was lightyears higher than yours.

I think we're trying to implement a wage structure where the top players get £200k and you need to be something special to get more. Those Rashford and Casemiro contracts were huge mistakes (Sancho also). Only Bruno deserves that money. I do think Newcastle will be forced to pay this money to players like Isak soon.

Glazer's have taken £2b out of the club mate. Your losses aren't in the same stratosphere. We could have bought your club 3 times over with the interest payments on our debt alone. That isn't a narrow metric. The Swiss Ramble has done reports on all of this. Not going to talk about this anymore in this thread. So if I ignore your replies in here it's because I don't want to derail the thread.

Aye there's no impact on us at all. Just ask the hundreds of people losing their jobs and the extreme cuts right across the club. The club is on it's knees at the minute while we try and get the financials right, and that's mainly because of the transfer mismanagement.
-
There's no piss poor logic. We're one of the biggest clubs in the world, and we already need to sell to satisfy PSR because we're signing a player from Wolves and a player from Brentford. We're likely going to sell one of most promising youngsters this summer and potentially even our best player and captain, but people are still acting like we can spend freely.
-
Yeah I'd say it'll be £200k for Cunha and Mbuemo, and we need to stop acting like that's some massive wage these days for established Premier League stars. I could understand if we were firing Rashford/Casemiro wages at these guys, but we're not.
-
Mate what the Glazers have taken out of our club could have bought your club five times over. It's not a good look trying to compare the two. But again, all the material is out there if you want educated.
-
There's no need to get into this again. There's enough material from respected columns for people to educate themselves on why The Glazers are much worse. I don't need to try and argue it with people who won't listen.

A fat chunk of the fee will go to us as well. Chunky sell on clause inserted when we sold Elanga.
-
Conveniently ignoring the £100m of sales last year I see. Most of which were pure profit sales. You're better than this fella. We also have no idea what Mbeumo will cost, and the talk is he wants 4x his £45k wages, which is £180k. It's not much more than what you've paid Gordon, Bruno, Joelinton etc. You even gave £150k to Lloyd Kelly. People need to stop acting like these players are getting handed Casemiro contracts.

We've sold loads of promising youngsters or academy products over the last two seasons mate. McTominay, Elanga, Carreras, Greenwood, Henderson, Kambwala, Pellistri, Mejbri, Kovar, Garner etc. (around £130-140m worth, likely more than what Newcastle have sold of their youth products in the same period?). Garnacho and Rashford almost certain to go this summer as well while Mainoo is a possibility. That's not including sales with other players like Sancho/Antony etc. Please stop acting like these rules don't apply to us, especially since the only player we've signed so far is Cunha which will be £24m a year on the books. Palace could afford £24m a year on the books never mind Man United.

Can't amortise over 8.

One degree higher than absolutely outstanding.

Just when I thought we were bonding Bobby.

I've sat and watched Bruno Fernandes for years too mate, a lot of the time from 30 feet away. I've also had the pleasure of watching De Bruyne in the flesh on multiple occasions. Nobody is arguing Fernandes is better than De Bruyne, but De Bruyne is a phenomenal footballer who's one of the best midfielders we've ever seen in England. Saying KDB is better than Bruno doesn't back up your ridiculous claims that 1) Bruno isn't elite and 2) we won't even miss him that much.
-
Forcing some wingers in there to try and prove a point. Nice.
-
In my opinion arguably the best midfielder ever in the league. And Fernandes' stats compare very favourably to De Bruyne since he came to England. Gentle reminder that one was assisting Haaland and Aguero and the other had Rasmus Hojlund and Wout Weghorst.
-
I understand this as well. Think someone on here openly admitted that they just couldn't give him the credit he deserves as he's a prick. I can respect that. In whatever order you like: Scholes Keane Robson Charlton Bruno is next. If someone said Ince I'd allow it but Bruno is definitely better like. He's definitely better than Carrick as well. If an oul fella told me Macari or Stiles were better I wouldn't argue as I can't say for sure.
-
Spoiler: you can't.
-
You're saying that like it's a bad thing. Presumably you've seen us win 13 Premier Leagues, 5/6 FA Cups, 5/6 League Cups and 2 Champions Leagues. The top 20 of Man United is stacked full of greats, so that one is more debatable.
-
I don't, but Bruno Fernandes is one of the greatest midfielders we've ever had. People believing he's not elite or even that he won't be a big loss are beyond help. Utterly clueless.
-
Wouldn't hate it if it was on loan.

I think Kelleher is a really good keeper. That's good business from Brentford.
