I don't need to. It's been reported by every journalist close with the club for years. It's reflected in the club accounts. You can see it.
-
They would just renegotiate their contract though, but it gives us bargaining power in the negotiations. I do know the ins and outs of how this works, but I promise you that clause is real.
-
Amad vs. Villa
-
I'm not sure what way it works. I'd assume a 25% reduction on the 75k, or a contract renegotiation to a new base wage. The clause is very real though, and has been well reported for a long time. At least 6-7 years.
-
I don't. He's part of the problem and he'll be gone as soon as we can find someone stupid enough to take him.
-
My cunt club is the only reason your club is in the Champions League next year. Show some respect.
-
I think I've seen enough of Onana to be honest mate. His face makes me angry. He's one of the worst players we've ever had.
-
Why are you focusing on the reduction, and not the increase? 25% increase for qualifying, which they've all got multiple times as well.
-
Aye, ask Onana. Apparently going mental about it and wanting sold. The squad are paid massive wages to get us into the Champions League, why would they revolt when they've failed to do so? Especially the likes of Onana who was solely responsible for us going out of the CL the year before, and largely to blame for the goal that lost us the final. It's a well documented clause, but doesn't look like it's in play any more with new signings and renewals.
-
Because it's every season. It's in their contracts, unless it's been negotiated out of it upon renewal. Highly unlikely to affect the likes of Bruno Fernandes or Amad who renewed recently, or new signings like Ugarte/De Ligt because we weren't in the CL when they signed or renewed, but it will take effect with players like Casemiro, Maguire, Shaw etc. Been a well documented clause now for a long time as a safeguard against poor performance.
-
That's a win no? Being able to spend as much as a club that has double your revenue?
-
It's not regardless of performance though is it? We'll probably spend £100-130m this summer without sales. Had we won the Europa League or finished in the CL spots in the league, it would have been double that.
-
That wage bill is about to decrease massively. 25% deduction on all player salaries for no CL football. There's no indication of what Cunha will be on but it's expected to be in and around £200k a week. We're saving £335k a week from Eriksen, Evans and Lindelof leaving.
-
Don't take this from me.
-
Honestly, I'd rank honours like this now: Premier League Champions League FA Cup Man United saving Newcastle from final day shame Europa League Carabao Cup
-
It was bad, but they deserved to be 4-0 down at that point.
-
Didn't like the cut of Brummie's jib this season. Not terribly disappointed costing Villa the CL.
-
The admins are already wrapped around my finger James. I basically own this place.
-
And they were absolutely battered even with 11. Don't know how bad your performance has been today, but Villa's has been pathetic.
-
It's really, really bad. We'll hear a lot about it.
-
As opposed to any other time?
-
Can't say you wouldn't deserve it, especially how you've all got on this season. Easy second half for you boys though. Our game won't matter.
-
Story of the season. We'll win the league with Isak.
-
We're all over Villa here. Far better. My prediction: 1-3
