  1. What's a lot to you? If we keep the same league form last this season, then he's gone by October.
  2. I'd say Wilcox and Berrada find the players and Amorim signs them off. Ratcliffe already said Amorim has his say with signings. Mind you, I don't think it's any coincidence that Mbeumo and Cunha are versatile players capable of playing in any system though. If it doesn't work out for Amorim, those two can play in a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-5-1 etc. They're smart buys.
  3. Bruno dropping into CM I would say. That's normally a problem as there was nobody else really creating in the #10 roles, but Cunha and Mbeumo would fix that. We're definitely after a striker as well. There's been a lot of noise about making a move for Gyokeres but it's dependant on sales and Arsenal are also interested. The Garnacho sale is huge. If big money comes in for him it's a huge PSR boon Team at the minute is likely: Onana Mazraoui De Ligt Yoro Amad Fernandes Ugarte Dorgu Cunha Mount (Mbeumo instead if it happens) Hojlund ST next priority. Hojlund out on loan to Inter with an obligation to buy and Zirkzee to stay as a #9/#10 rotation option.
  4. Has mentioned about how the cuts are brutal but otherwise has had no reason to call INEOS out so far. He's apparently quite close with upper management and is fully backed for the rebuild.
  5. £6.25 per hour. 25% rise for CL.
  6. Must be like Goldbridge.
  7. Had a read through that lads Twitter. Very pro-Newcastle and anti-Man United. Expecting him to claim a £90m transfer fee next.
  8. Martin Hardy. Same lad who said we'd pay £15m for Ashworth. North East journalist trying to soften the blow of missing out on Mbeumo it would seem.
  9. Not sure KaKa. It's only day three of the window.
  10. And despite Newcastle fans having extreme delusions of grandeur, I did pity them during Ashley's reign.
  11. I don't think Rashford would, but Sancho I could see going. He's a little ballbag.
  12. Yep, agree. Fingers crossed PIF help us out.
  13. Still Chelsea's player until the end of the month. I'd be shocked if he's not fucked off by then. I really wish we could afford to let him rot.
  14. Freedom fighter returning home. Wonder how that makes him feel that a club would rather pay £5m to get rid of you than pay £25m to keep you.
  15. £230m over five years. The wages of Rashford and Sancho amount to around £140-150m in the same period. Their almost certain transfer fees add probably another £60m+ on top of that. Lindelof, Eriksen, Evans all gone. That's another £25m in wages over five years. That's five players that don't even play for us anymore and they offset Mbeumo and Cunha's entire cost. That's not including the potential sales of Antony, Hojlund, Garnacho, Malacia etc. You're being obtuse. Only looking at incomings and have no care for any outgoings. I think it's pretty clear we're trying to trim the squad and not fire out £300,000 contracts to youngsters anymore.
  16. The Glazers have cost us a lot, lot more than £2b. That's what they've essentially withdrawn from the club.
  17. You'd know about receding hairlines Rocker son.
  18. Yeah, but... look at us. How can you say we're not paying for this? We're quite clearly trying to fix the wage bill and transfer situation as well.
  19. I've spent 15 years on this forum. I feel like I'm as well placed as any opposition fan to understand how bad it was under Ashley/Pardew etc. and I fully supported you in your revolts against the ownership. Do you think there's a chance that maybe the shoe is on the other foot, and maybe you don't know just how bad the Glazer ownership has been? Maybe we're both being ignorant? Anyway, I really don't want to continue this here. I know I can get carried away and derail threads when the discussion involves my club, and I genuinely hate doing that. Happy to post away in the Man United thread.
  20. I agree people need to stop trying to compare the two clubs.
  21. Bruno has rejected Al Hilal.
  22. Again, you're ignoring amortisation, you're ignoring sales to PSR assets. You're just suiting your own argument or else you just don't know. The average UK salary is £37k as well, so not sure how £30k a year is generous. The reports have suggested that cuts have saved £40-50m annually so far. PSR significantly affects cash flow.
