My point is that if people believe £50m for Elanga is acceptable then I'm not sure how they think £60m is ridiculous for someone who is 3 years younger with similar output and has won a major trophy while scoring in the final. Bear in mind Napoli's opening offer in January was reported as £40m which was immediately rejected. I'd say it's likely we settle somewhere in the high 40's with heavy add ons and clauses.

Garnacho had 13 goal involvements in the Premier League as a 19 year old last season. He scored in the FA Cup final. He's won trophies. Aye we've been burned many times with transfers like Sancho. But to say this approach is the same as the past isn't true.
