  1. All this heartache will just make the triumphant return that much sweeter.

    What's the expected price here?
  3. I think the price for all footballers is ridiculous. My point is that if people believe £50m for Elanga is acceptable then I'm not sure how they think £60m is ridiculous for someone who is 3 years younger with similar output and has won a major trophy while scoring in the final. Bear in mind Napoli's opening offer in January was reported as £40m which was immediately rejected. I'd say it's likely we settle somewhere in the high 40's with heavy add ons and clauses.
  4. Real Madrid will be doing the same with Carreras. Just need someone to buy Greenwood now.
  5. It's likely 20% of the profit. So we'd get around £7m if you buy him for £50m.
  6. I'd personally take £50m at this point to be honest. But aye let's see. Fingers crossed.
  7. Because believe it or not mate, suitors for Garnacho will also care about what he's done outside the Premier League. Garnacho had 13 goal involvements in the Premier League as a 19 year old last season. He scored in the FA Cup final. He's won trophies. But aye it's preposterous to suggest he's worth £10m more than someone three years older than him.
  8. KaKa you're on here trying to justify £50m for 23 year old Elanga because he had 18 goal involvements, yet suggest £60m for 20 year Garnacho is a ridiculous price when he got 21 goal involvements. Do you realise how silly you look?
  9. Personally think you should be shooting higher. But maybe Howe can bring him to another level. The higher the fee the better for us.
  10. Not really to be fair. I've seen Elanga play more than any of you.
  11. No he's absolutely class. Please buy for £50m. Gives us some more money to spend this summer.
  12. Don't worry Elric. Everybody laps up terrible Twitter sources on here.
  13. That's a brilliant signing IMO.
  14. They call him tight, but then suggest he'll offer huge wages. Got to pick one.
  15. A higher wage increases the copium.
  16. Aye, Hardy started it, Alex Crook from TalkSport spread it. Now plenty of rags are running with it. I've seen anything from £150k to £250k reported now.
  17. We have a big sell on clause for Elanga, so I'd imagine Forest will inflate the price even more due to that.
  18. In his givemesport column. Said he wants an important salary but would be no different to other players like Cunha etc. Of the new signings under INEOS, the highest paid has been De Ligt, who took a pay cut from £265k a week to £195k a week at us. That was a marquee signing from Bayern. £180-200k will almost certainly be the range for Cunha and Mbeumo. There's no way he's getting £250,000. I'll eat my hat.
  19. I just seen the numbers. I don't really understand it to be fair. I'd have thought the higher the number the more safe you would be.
  20. Newcastle in a safer position than Liverpool in regard to PSR?
  21. Isak will be the stonewall first choice though. Like you're never starting over him in big games. There's a better chance for him to break through at Chelsea IMO.
  22. He would have been on the bench for you as well to be fair.
  23. Aye we've been burned many times with transfers like Sancho. But to say this approach is the same as the past isn't true. We're obviously hoping to pay a bit more to get players that need no bedding in and will hit the ground running. I get excited by any new player though. Was looking forward to seeing Ighalo and Weghorst.
