He's a winger who relies on speed, he doesn't have a trick and isn't a great dribbler. He's very poor man's Harvey Barnes who also beat's defenders with his pace but who has excellent stats for goals and assists. We could buy Barnes for less than Gordon today and well might if Leicester go down.

The Brighton game is a good opportunity for Howe to show us what a good coach he is. Everyone knows how Brighton play and it is possible to negate their strengths as Everton did recently. We will have a better idea after the match how high Eddie's ceiling is.

Surely nobody who lives in the NE or has done wants the return of the dreaded derby? We are always expected to win so if we do it means fuck all, and yet when we lose which we have a nasty habit of doing it's soul destroying.

We’ve got Leeds and Leicester who are likely to be relegated and the worst Chelsea team for decades. Brighton are good but we are at home. If we don’t finish 3rd or 4th it will be because we bottled it rather than someone else deserving it.

Bit controversial but I’d be looking to upgrade Pope with a goalkeeper with some semblance of footballing ability. Either that or instruct the players to never pass the ball back to him.

Without Longstaff's physicality we are being overran in midfield.

We don't normally play well without Longstaff so it will be interesting to see how we manage without him.
