I thought it was all pretty accurate and fairly unbiased.
  2. If he is in that dugout on Sunday I'm supporting Spurs.
  3. There is a lot of goodwill at the moment for the new owners and especially for Amanda Staveley however they do need to get most of the big decisions right and quickly. Getting rid of SB is a no brainer, we don't need a permanent manager to replace him Jones will do for a game or two. I'd have had Bruce out within an hour of the takeover being announced. No excuses.
  4. Newcastle United's new owners are considering replacing manager Steve Bruce with Leicester City's Brendan Rodgers, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard or ex-Borussia Dortmund boss Lucien Favre. (Mail) Former RB Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick is also being looked at by the new Newcastle United hierarchy for the role of sporting director. (Telegraph - subscription required) Newcastle United will target four Manchester United players when the transfer window reopens in January with France striker Anthony Martial, 25, Netherlands midfielder Donny van de Beek, 24, 27-year-old Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly and England attacker Jesse Lingard, 28, all said to be on their wishlist. (Mirror)
  5. From the BBC Very technically by the rules, that might have been the correct decision to allow Kylian Mbappe's goal. But it definitely seems against the spirit of the game. If Eric Garcia had let the ball go, the goal would have been disallowed. By trying to cut it out and only getting a little touch, the goal stood. It seems to be counted as a second phase of play. Hmmmm. Kylian Mbappe still looked offside when the ball was played by Theo Hernandez. So I'm still not convinced. Spain defender Eric Garcia did get a touch onto Theo Hernandez's through ball to Kylian Mbappe - so that must be why it was allowed to stand.
  6. Must have touched the Spanish defender who tried to intercept the ball, as if it didn't he was offside
  7. When the twat Owen made his debut, 2007 maybe.
  8. Newcastle United plan to make a move for Napoli and Senegal centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, 30, as they look to bring in a marquee signing. (Football Insider) Burnley defender James Tarkowski, 28, could become one of Newcastle's first signings since the takeover of the club, while the Magpies have also discussed fellow England player Jesse Lingard, with the 28-year-old attacking midfielder's contract at Manchester United running out next summer. (Sunday Telegraph) Newcastle are also interested in bringing in Paris St-Germain and Argentina striker Mauro Icardi, although Tottenham and Juventus are also keen on the 28-year-old. (Calciomercato, via Mail on Sunday) The Tyneside club's new owners are set to sack Magpies manager Steve Bruce next week. (Sunday Mirror) Former Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is interested in a takeover of Championship club Derby County, who are in administration. (Sunday Mirror)
  9. They don't have good enough defenders individually and there isn't much Martinez can do about that. They could be coached to be better as a defensive unit maybe.
  10. Another random name John Stones, not good enough apparently for City but certainly good enough for us this season.
  11. I would have thought trying to buy a combination of the best players from the smaller clubs along with the good players from the bigger clubs who don't get to play much would be a good start. That would fill out the squad with lots of reasonably good players who could be upgraded further down the line. Initially we need to stay up and show serious signs of progress by the end of the season. So Maitland Niles from Arsenal, Perez maybe from Leicester, Winks from Spurs that kind of player from the more successful clubs and then the likes of Tarkowski and McNeil from Burnley, Sarr from Watford, Partey from Brighton etc. I know that I forgot Mbappe and Pulisic but I dont think we will be in that market for 2/3 years.
  12. Although we all want the takeover and it does appear increasingly likely now, it's hard to be completely convinced that its that definite, because even what was once the respectable and reliable press has now become a bunch of click bait greedy wankers. You would like to think The Times, Telegraph, Athletic would only print something they are convinced is true but for years now we know this is no longer the case.
  13. Meanwhile the almost certainly reality is " We'll offer you 299m" MA replies "I want 300m" PIF " Okay then, but if the club gets relegated because well you know Steve Bruce, you pay us back a 150m" MA replies and yes you've guessed it "Deals off"
  14. Foden is a much better player than Grealish in the wide left position, so why did they buy Grealish again? Can't see where else he's going to play and be effective.
  15. Wolves are actually really shit so it shows are utterly terrible we are. Hope we lose.

    Sunderland

Of course not. However they are on an upward trajectory and we are doing the opposite , we'll probably meet in the middle next season. And you know they will be more ambitious than us so while they aspire to rise and get better we will continue to sink and stink up what ever league we are in.

    Sunderland

    Twice as good in fact.

Sunderland's prospects look a lot better than ours do.

  20. Get the feeling we are going to score, wake up Leeds you useless bastards.
  21. Really hope that we lose badly. There are two cancers at the club, Ashley who the supporters who go to the games support and Bruce. We cant get rid of Ashley but if it's toxic enough maybe we can get rid of Bruce.
  22. Great assist by Bellingham, already England's best midfielder.
  23. Keep this twitter shit where it belongs in the brain dead thread. Every subject is now polluted with pointless stupid twitter crap, stop posting it.
  24. I do want us to get taken over, but not by the Saudi’s or the Taliban
