Apparently they do it on 15mins each game when not winning/on top so Arteta can have a team talk ?

It will be exactly the same criteria give or take minor margins. Can’t be anything else in reality. On the positive side for those without STs getting to a Cup Final so quickly has probably made them think twice about increasing the amount of ST holders so until ground is increased it will remain 60/40 ST holders occupying the ground and then 50/50 you’d think with any ground expansion or at least closer to even. That’s a lot of potential league and home cup tickets up for grabs.

Is that something you or others wouldn’t have realised if we ever got to a Cup Final? Every well supported club faces the same issue when Cup Final allocations range between 26-33K. Id actually see the way the club chose to do it on this occasion as a massive encouragement that you and others in a similar boat will get a chance as small as it might be. That’s why you’ve so many disappointed ST holders that took it for granted they’d get one regardless of Cup attendance. Thought it was quite a bold decision to hold 3% back for none ST holders for such a big game.

Newcastle United update on Wembley ticketing The Trust has received a significant volume of requests in relation to the process applied to the sale of tickets for the forthcoming Carabao Cup Final. As result, the Trust have today contacted the club seeking additional clarification of the process that has been applied – in response, the club have provided us with the below update to share with Members. NUFC Response "We appreciate that every Newcastle United supporter wants to be there to support the team at Wembley and we offer our sincere apologies to anyone who has been left disappointed. Unfortunately, demand has greatly outstripped the supply of tickets we have been allocated for the Carabao Cup Final and we are unable to obtain more. With this in mind, we considered our options around ticket sales very carefully and worked hard to ensure tickets were made available to supporters in as fair and equitable a way as possible. Accordingly, we established a set of priority periods based on eligibility criteria - heavily weighted towards season ticket holder status, number of loyalty points and Carabao Cup ticket purchasing history during the current 2022/23 season. 97% of the tickets available within the priority periods have been purchased by current season ticket holders, with a very small allocation made available to members and supporters with a purchase history in the Carabao Cup. This is in line with our on-sale policy throughout previous rounds of the competition. In addition, a small allocation has been allocated to our hard-working full-time staff, our players and coaches’ families, our owners and our official partners at a ratio that benchmarks favourably in comparison to other clubs that have reached domestic cup finals in recent years. We appreciate this will be little consolation to any supporter who has missed out, but we hope the above information is helpful in understanding how tickets have been allocated. Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. Your support is truly appreciated.” The club have also outlined their process for contacting NUFC about Wembley tickets should you feel the need. All Supporter Services enquiries – [email protected] Complaints – see the club’s complaints procedure in the Customer Service section https://www.nufc.co.uk/fans/supporter-charter/ The Trust is grateful to Newcastle United for this communication and we will consult with members further after the Cup Final to collate feedback about the ticket process for Wembley, and ticketing in general, with the aim of aiding the club and members where we can. That 97% of tickets for Wembley went to season ticket holders for the Cup Final shows there is little doubt that the club has put season ticket holders first when allocating tickets. JOIN THE TRUST

Exactly. And the overall positive we can at least all take is hopefully there will be a next time and even a next time after that if we all stick behind the club and it’s current owners. No guarantees in football but hopefully our chances will increase compared to previous two decades. Not fancy treating yourself to a club Wembley on this occasion? Must be in the ball park of a Lawyer ?

Until you know your route to the final it be very difficult. For example we could’ve got there without a single home game barring 1 leg of the semi or vice versa and only a single 1 leg away game. The criteria would’ve been different. Still though those that went to the most cup games along with having a ST would still be in the first Periods. Just it might of favoured slightly different people on that occasion. Especially if they’d been mostly away games. As everyone with a ST will likely buy a Semi ticket whereas the earlier rounds would’ve generally been purchased by the same away following in general. If that makes sense ?

I don’t think any club is arrogant enough to confirm Cup Final ticket criteria before it’s reached the final. Maybe I’m wrong and there are those that do? If you are ever hoping to get a cup final ticket you should always be in the mindset of giving yourself the best chance and not wait on others to. So if you’ve a ST for example and not used it to buy your seats for earlier games you were always running a risk and going forward you will know that risk is real.

The ones that bought the cup ticket packages along with their STs got priority or the ones without STs who paid for the clubs travel packages. There were ST holders that didn’t get Final tickets. Back in the 90’s our ground only held 36k which you then took 2k away for away fans. We never got 34K final tickets as old Wembley capacity was 80k. So the point I’m making still stands. Cup purchase history has always been important to the club. As has means to go to a final without a ST. The margins of allocations and the haves and have nots were smaller then hence very little to none complaining. Life/Football has changed however. You didn’t get groups of families going with kids etc in groups of 4/6/8. I’ve read on here from various people I couldn’t go without the kids/other half etc etc. As if that’s was the attitude of the 90’s ? Half the reason you went to the match was to get away from them for a few hours ? So fast forward next final (hopefully in my lifetime) and all ST holders have bought ALL possible home cup round tickets. The club will still have to prioritise anyone attending away cup ties so that will go back to those who have loyalty points. So that leaves people unhappy. Then if the ground is expanded do they bother to increase ST holder amounts knowing it gives them a bigger headache? Or does there concern lie with the other part of the fan base buying tickets via membership and general sale and how do they not lock them out in the future and keep them engaged for attending cup games etc? Taking a step back the way they have split the tickets they have had all these factors in mind.
-
And there lies the problem as there over 35K ST holders and under 33K Final tickets so not every ST holder would be guaranteed one so there has to be further criteria based on loyalty (points P1&2) and the club has historically always rewarded those who went to the actual cup ties regardless of league game attendance hence the other P’s. My only surprise is people are surprised how they set up the criteria as it was always going to be something based on what I’ve said above. Your assertion about ST > Cup games with regards to NUFC cup finals is not correct.

Classic video analysis by Rio. Romero basically ran where he said he should’ve done despite Ferdinand putting graphical arrows trying to back up his argument ?
-
Yeah 1-3. IIRC they had a 2nd disallowed but from 0-3 up and coasting for an hour we seemed to fall apart. Best 45mins we witnessed that season. Stoke at home probably best overall performance.
-
When did that end? Does it count after ET still?
-
The sooner they decide to double line the players for these offsides the better. Goals like PSG’s should be standing.
-
Obviously looking to get a game for the Blues v Reds ?
-
Nah we were brilliant first half and 0-3 up at HT and ended up hanging on 2-3. All is best work was definitely the first half.

Everton away debut. Played well for first 45mins away against WBA. As for home Stoke City possibly you are thinking of.
