No one thinking Schär had concussion before we conceded the two goals Sunday? Maybe Burn across and a start for Targett which will help ASM’s game out. Gordon in for Miggy. Willock didn’t look right so I’d leave on the bench or out of squad for more winnable games personally. Guessing if Bruno is knackered he’ll try Anderson again ? Two up top I always think can work against Man City if physical enough. Not sure Wilson and Isak as a pair are but you never know.

I think people really don’t understand how a trust (should) work. They are just a conduit. If their members raise trivial stuff in numbers then that’s what gets raised. If it’s members raise larger issues in numbers then they will raise them also. They technically have no power and can’t guarantee anything but at least they have the working relationship with the club to know who to ask and as of last meeting (my first) the club seem to be slowly showing more interest in listening. You got to remember on the list of priorities with the club facing relegation and discovering a shell of the club that some things take time and will be addressed by the club hopefully in their priority.

Yeah I agree there needs to be a clear distinction and care needs to be taken to not be overly critical of the quiet ones. After all I’m on a normal carriage home right now whereas others could’ve booked a quiet carriage as that would be their preference. For those folk move them all to the upper tiers. Have the entire lower bowl either end and East stand for the cameras as safe standing. Have purpose built foghorns attached in fixed points provided by the club for fans to use along with a couple of drums etc. Couple of loudhailers also.

Very good post and agree with it all in the main apart maybe a bit harsh on the NUST as I think you’ll find most of them would be agreement with you. So if members raise this to the board they will simply ask the question of the club. I plan to raise it at next meeting. Theres definitely got to be a reorganisation of those with similar styles of support so they can be grouped together. No finer example than the Final at the weekend when I was stood in the safe standing area behind the goal (132) expecting to be sat with people my age (pushing close to 50) or younger wanting to get the chants going yet I had older people (60+) on one side and two 4-5yrd olds right in front of me stood on their safe standing seats. No one was even talking to each other or complaining never mind trying to generate any kind of atmosphere. It was weird and awful in equal measures.

Well I’ve been down here since Thursday and have found it heartwarming seeing our fans absolutely everywhere. Every street, pub, station they couldn’t be avoided. Took until Saturday evening until I stumbled across one Man Utd fan and as always singing about Shearer ? Took until an hour before KO before them to start appearing in small numbers on underground heading towards Wembley Park. Seem to recall it being the same in 99. Always found it a bit baffling. As for the game however apart from pre match build up and final minutes of defiance our lot were very poor on the day. I was in the safe standing as hoped to be beside likeminded fans but it was flat as a fart to the point I turned on everyone around questioning if this was the East Stand. From previous experiences I knew unless we scored early there probably wouldn’t be much chanting as the occasion tends to be more nervous once the game kicks off than for the players. I appreciate the team didn’t give them loads to shout about but still all things considered possibly the worst away game I’ve done in all my years from an atmosphere point of view. I’ll be kind and suggest maybe our lot partied too hard for 48hrs and the hangovers were kicking in ? Performance sadly was exactly as I expected. Regardless of league position we are playing the best/hardest team in the country “in this moment” and a team that matches up well against what we are good at and to add to the mix we are “out of our moment”. Just hoping I’m wrong in my fears that the season drops off both on and off the pitch if Bruno is out again and Willock clearly not fit. My hope is we now have a simple focus with no distractions like others. Gordon will be eligible now and I’m hoping Isak might replace Longstaff in certain games after a bright cameo in a deeper position to what we’ve seen him in previous. Both these changes if made I’m hoping will make us less predictable as I do fear we’ve become that these last two month. Hope all those who travelled from far and wide had a great time back in Newcastle regardless. Back Tuesday myself so hoping it’s still in one piece ? HTL

Didn’t he also say it’s all been a big misunderstanding or words to that effect?

In the context of the game the penalty gets softer and softer. Love a ref who lets things go. Always creates a better game and atmosphere. Get Trossard to ref in the EPL.
-
He’s getting worse for that.
-
Trossard gives Barca a soft pen…

Their length of contract/squad harmony probably paid a part in that. I think loaning out Darlow and extending Karius contract shows which one he favours.
-
In the UK you’d be looking to pay around £100/mo for Sport alone and that wouldn’t give you all the matches still. Far from it ?

I didn’t know Klopp’s assistant released a book basically giving extremely in-depth insights to how their team works. Surprised LFC allowed it. Know wonder they are finding it a bit tougher this year… ? https://store.liverpoolfc.com/pep-lijnders-intensity

Liverpool only need one goal. 3-5 and it’s game on 2nd leg.
-
We should’ve had a different strategy on the night. We only needed a draw.
-
Probably still cheaper than it currently is ?
-
Atmosphere has been excellent. Invest in some new speakers.
-
Said it before. Between Alison and Ederson there’s a great GK in there if combined. One great with his feet who never makes a save and vice versa ?
-
They still have 11 men at least ?
